BB was hired in 2000. Here is the number of playoff wins by season according to Pro Football Reference...

2017: 2
2016: 3
2015: 1
2014: 3
2013: 1
2012: 1
2011: 2
2010: 0
2009: 0
2008: 0
2007: 2
2006: 2
2005: 1
2004: 3
2003: 3
2002: 0
2001: 3
2000: 0

Find me an 8 year window in there with “only 4 wins”.

He admitted in the other thread he miscounted and it was only 6 years (2008-2013).

But as I said, here are the results of the “down time”.

2008- no playoffs (but 11-5 with high school QB Matt Cassell)
2009- lost in Wild-Card to Ravens
2010- lost in divisional to Jets
2011- lost Super Bowl to Giants
2012- lost AFCCG to Ravens
2013- lost AFCCG to Broncos

If Tomlin was even close to that kind of “down time”, he’d be getting less shit than he is now.

Just, FYI, good chance the Patriots make their EIGHTH CONSECUTIVE AFCCG. 2011-2013 were the first three in that streak.

Only the Raiders come close to the Pats with five straight AFCCG appearances from 1973-77.

Ya, I’d love that type of “down time” too.

But you left out the best part. After that down stretch, one in which they appeared in a SB, they went on to win 3 playoff games in 2014. One of which was a SB.

BB “down time” shits all over Tomlin’s best stretch. Especially now that it is beyond evident Tomlin’s early success was extremely Barry Switzerest.

Once Cowher’s players and coaches were gone we’ve gotten to see exactly what Tomlin is.

And that with a QB putting up career & league high numbers.

Dunce is taking this franchise back to the “lovable loser” good ole days.

Only problem is this team is far from lovable. They got the loser part down though.

In an interview with PG, Rooney even went so far as to say it would be “hard to envision” Antonio Brown being with the Steelers when they report to training camp in July.

BREAKING: Steelers president Art Rooney II said he s not going to release Antonio Brown, but “all other options are on the table.” He would not say Steelers are going to trade their All-Pro receiver, but left no doubt that is a strong possibility.

Strong talk... the opening parry of compromise/settlement.

If they were freaking serious about shopping him, they would have already done it.

Honestly, here's the thing.

The Steelers offense without AB (and Bell) takes a big step back. If however, the Steelers can move a 30 year old AB for a 1st rounder and solid defensive player, it's better for the franchise.

This team isn't built to win another SB without Brown and Bell though, IMO. Unless the defense turns a big corner.

Lesson hopefully Tomlin learns....or Art II.

When you have the talent- you can't waste it.

At one point this team had Ben, Bell, Brown, and Bryant.

Dulac omitted the part where Art said "as we sit here right now..." and then said he hasn't talked to AB yet but if they do he hopes they can work things out.

AB walked out on this team with the season on the line. The most selfish act you can do in a team sport.

Until he apologizes and begs for forgiveness from his teammates? He can go fuck himself.

Trade his ass for picks and lets start building a different culture.

He should be fined for wearing that outfit to meet the owner. That thing is ugly. Maybe his jeans were still in the freezer. Lit you got anything on that?

Teams are telling me the potential trade market for Antonio Brown is huge. Teams interested in Brown also tell me (and I know this will shock you) they believe once Brown got into their program they’d be able to control him.

AB just put out a video...said he 'll be addressing all the negative specualtion of his character...it will be all positive whatever that meant...he seemed high as a kite (my speculation) and he was smokin a cigar along with his "mentor" chad ochocinco

He needs to be gone, unless he has a change of heart, and there is zero indication of that happening.

I hope we pick a team likely to suck in 2021, trade Brown for their 2021 1st, and use that to take Trevor Lawrence.

Was he a piece of shit four weeks ago, catching 15 balls and two TDs against the Saints? Mark my words. He goes; we'll miss him.

This guy is a world-class talent.

All you asshats that want him gone are cutting off your bulbous noses to spite your ugly, fuckin faces.

The dude quit this team with our season the line. All the months of hard work, and he walked out the door like a giant, selfish pussy. He jeopardized the season with a playoff spot on the line, and he jeopardized the jobs of coaches. Anyone who has ever played a team sport at a high level realizes what a practically unforgivable sin that is. I have no doubt that if tried to play that Sunday that a guy like Cam Heyward would have beat the shit out of him.

Unless he apologizes, begs for forgiveness from his teammates, and genuinely takes action to change his ways? He's dead to me.

I don't want him on the team next year. He's a cancerous, bitch-made prick. The offense will take a hit, but this team will be better off for it. Thanks for the memories, I loved you on this team, but you fucked up seriously AB.
