Yeah, I know I'm a fucking nut case but I've been done with the 2017 class for a while. There's only so much tape to watch before you start noticing guys on the field who aren't is this year's draft.

D'Ernest Johnsn RB South Florida
I think this kid could be really, really good. He has great overall athleticism and a great burst through the hole. Someone of the USF coaching staff, can't remember who, said that this kid was the best player on the team. He also does a great job of falling forward and getting yards after contact. His game reminds of Devonta Freeman just without the elite speed.

Rashaan Evans ILB Alabama
Yeah, I know he's an Alabama LB who isn't exactly flying under the radar but I think he could be really good. He flies around the field making tackles and is an underrated pass rusher. He does need to get bigger and stronger though and that's why he isn't as high on some boards just yet.

Tegray Scales ILB Indiana
A little bit of a homer pick here but I think he's a Blair Brown type with more upside. He's undersized a tad but will test pretty well. I'd say the one thing he lacks is the alpha dog mentality but he could be poised for another monster season. Here's a link to the best video of him I could find, Indiana is notoriously bad in the film department as long as the current people running that office continue to work there.

Josh Allen QB Wyoming
Granted he doesn't play against the best competition, but this small school standout could be possible heir to Big Ben if the Steelers don't take a guy in 2017. He's a big kid who can really sling the ball around and has good movement skills. Really dig this kid if he declares, I expect he will.

Well someone's very early mock draft had Allen, Sam darnold and the other top QB go off at picks 1-3. Allen isnt as much a sleeper as I thought.

Akrum Wadley, RB, Iowa
Linnell Bonner, WR, Houston
Kevin Anderson, QB, Fordham
Kalen Ballage, RB, Arizona State

should be on your radar

I second Wadley.

Chris Jones, CB, Nebraska
Malik Jefferson, ILB, Texas
Quin Blanding, FS, Virginia (currently my favorite FS since Earl Thomas)

Once Carson Wentz goes 2nd overall, is there still any such thing as a QB sleeper prospect?

If we're watching RBs, Derrius Guice might be better than Fournette.

Second best back in the country after Saquon Barkley.

If the time Barkley ran at Pro Day holds up as legit, wow.

Watching Barkley play, I'd say it's probably close to legit. Hopefully he doesn't get dinged for being a PSU RB because that kid is special.

Another guy who I like right now as our Round 1 pick next year, his playing style reminds me of Karl Joseph. Really look forward to seeing his senior season.

I was also impressed with this guy as well, he would be a great addition to this offense. He's going to be a Round 1 guy as well.

CB might not even get drafted next year. I think they're going to finish the year with 4 really good young guys, plus two of the serviceable Cockrell, Gay, or Sensabaugh.

Safety, on the other hand-- I could see that. TE, Safety, QB, and probably RB all will be in play.

If Ben sticks around QB wont be drafted
OL seems to be riding a nice wave all around
TE seems acceptable to the Steelers
If JuJu makes a mark WR isnt a huge priority and Bryant is here til 2019
Tuitt signs and that takes DL off the list.
Just dont see the Steelers putting primo investment at FS. I cant remember the last time they invested large there

That leaves RB OLB ILB CB SS as either wait and see or priority needs

I think Bud and TJ will be given at least til the 2019 draft til the Steelers spend premium picks at OLB again and if Burns continues to impress I think CB is gonna be flyer and or developmental picks.

Everyone wants Davis to be the answer at SS. Hasnt really happened yet. ILB is puzzling to me right now. RB I just dont believe in handing Bell 12M per year plus longterm. I hope the Steelers look to draft his replacement and tag him a 2nd and final time next year.

I think the first 3 RDs the Steelers are looking for at least 2 of RB ILB SS.

Sean Davis is gonna be fine-- truly, he's more FS type, but Mitchell isn't versatile enough to be exposed in coverage as a SS.

I would take another hybrid type S just like Davis in a heartbeat. Perhaps Brian Allen is that guy. That could work at some point.

2018 Starters: CB Burns-FS Davis-SS Allen-CB Golson-CB Sutton

Reserves: S Stafford, CB Cockrell, CB Gay, CB Sensabaugh

Damn good.

I like that idea but until I see Allen listed at S I think the Steeler will only ever play him at CB which is unfortunate.

That could be a helluva 2ndary

Unless they get lucky with Allen and Golson they will still need a starter at either outside corner or slot. Both Gay and Cockrell need to go.
A coverage safety is needed to replace Mitchell.
Could go inside linebacker, depending on how Williams looks as a starter.
Unless they suck they would have to trade up using a lot of picks for the qb which is not like the Steelers.
TE is in play but they didn't show any interest upgrading this year knowing the were parting ways with
Mr. Injury.

1.S
2.CB
3ILB
4.OLB
5.TE
6.DT
7.G

Thing about CB is: They have Burns, Golson, Sutton, Allen, and Cockrell. All are young. All have either draft investment or experience as a starter here. True, we have no real idea what any of them are going to be long-term, but I think odds are pretty damn good that 3 of those 5 become serviceable starters or better. Sutton, Allen, Golson, or even Cockrell could turn out to be a plus outside CB. Any of them could potentially play inside. I like the group's potential a lot.

Seeing his name brought up more and more. Know next to nothing about the player. QB Mason Rudolph Oklahoma State. Any further Info would be appreciated.

this looks like a good year to get a run stuffing NT

Derrick Nnadi, Florida State
Vita Vea, Washington
Da'Ron Payne, Alabama
Lowell Lotulelei
Trenton Thompson, Georgia
Daylon Mack, Texas A&M

Of course most of them are juniors so they may not come out.
