Rousey's expected domination aside, there were some good undercards.

Franca was a beast in the lightweight category. The Struve match was interesting...if that dude hit with more power he'd cause some problems in the heavyweight division.

I didn't watch but couldn't wait to see the posted video of Rhonda demolishing her competition.

Didn't take long. 34 seconds I think.

Yet, today (even though I watched the video) I saw a poster of said competition at the end of the fight showing she shit herself.

Did Rhonda literally beat the shit out of her?

Anyone else see this?

Myth busted

http://fansided.com/2015/08/02/ufc-190- ... t-herself/

I'd add this observation...if there is any sports commentator better than Joe Rogan, I don't know who that would be.

Dec 10th Sage Northcutt fights on the Van Zant undercard

I'm not sure what is going to happen to this kid, but he is an impressive martial artist

If you haven't seen him it's worth your time. Check out his last winning form at the world championships. Ridiculous

Unfortunately now that he's been discovered he will likely get pushed into a fight with a true killer too soon. I'm sure Hollywood would take him in a heartbeat.

And his front flip doesn't even look real. Watching it in slow mo makes you think it defies physics?!?

Watched UFC 193...Holm destroyed Rousey. Kind of in shock. Rousey didn't come close to taking her to the ground in any meaningful way. Holm kick to end fight was brilliant.

I don't know who Rousey prepared for but it wasn't Holly Holm.

Not to mention Rousey paid too much attention to her own press clippings.

Just watched the replay. I'm not saying it's a factor, but Rousey did a huge amount of press and ancillary stuff after her last fight and I wonder if her focus was as intense as it should have been. I haven't paid a huge amount of attention to her career as it's unfolded so maybe that normal for her. But after her last fight I started following her on FB and very little of what she was regularly posting had to do with fighting or training. Seems she was stretching herself in a ton of different directions trying to strengthen her brand.

Anyway, Holly was so quick and evasive i'm kind of surprised Rhonda didn't start trying to maybe work the body more to slow her down when it became obvious the fight wasn't going her way. It's an easier target to hit than the head of a fighter used to defending/evading strikes.

Holm was obviously a much more skilled boxer, and it hurt Rousey BADLY.

She dominated the fight.

Bad idea for sure.

No one knows that more than the legend under your name.

I only saw the short clip that is available for free.

She got slammed with the left cross and didn't recover. Holm was too fast.

Well that fight prep made about as much sense as trying to beat Royce Gracie in 1993 with BJJ.

Maybe Ronda's mom is right about her current team.

BTW the undercards kind of sucked this time. There was almost no ground fighting. Neither of the strawweight women wanted any part of that. Which means they way to beat them is ground game.

Sage wins with an R2 Guillotine. I didn't get to see it, the fight pass feed wouldn't work for some reason....

Conflicting reports, some saying a terrible stand up in R1 after Northcutt got taken down, others saying he had double hooks in and was not taking any punishment. Either way, kid is moving the MMA needle now.

He will soon be facing a monster......ready or not.

Van Zant lost last night and badly.

Northcutt and Van Zant better get busy and breed those uber-humans while her ovaries are still intact.

WOW

McGregor in 13 seconds, one punch..

But the huge surprise was Weidman who looked totally lost.
