Yep. Family in Miami staying put. We're east of Orlando & have to stay because wife works in hospital. Just drove kids & dog to North GA with inlaws.

East FL West P & Ft L get a break, on edge of cone. Irma might drift west after hammering keys & Ft M & Naples. Thereafter models diverge. It's wait and see. Dangerous, vicious storm. Accounts from officials in Carib of the damage is incredible. After Andrew in 92 the move to increase construction standards to w/stand greater than 120 mile winds was squashed because the cost would have added 20% to purchase price. Truly hope & pray for everyone's safety.

Thank man. After drinking heavily yesterday (My birthday) & finishing prep work until 3am, FL kindly sent out a severe weather alert on our cell phones at 5:30 am. Loudest fucking knife to the eardrum sound ever. Tired, hungover & grumpy AF...which probably is most of the population today. Smart move on the state's part with stress levels already at 11.

Maybe this time around when they rebuild , they'll move to more underground utilities

Stay safe everyone!
