Shitty thing to wake up to today. Wonder what we'll find out to be the cause.

Him and Layne were the best thing out of that era.

I was at the show last night. Crazy shit, I'm so bummed today.

Probably my favorite vocalist of all time and definitely one of my favorite bands.

Had Badmotorfinger in the CD player on the way to work today, completely unaware. One of my colleagues told me when I got to work. Crazy. According to Schroedinger, though, my colleague is responsible.

Seems like most of the grunge singers were seriously, seriously messed up.

Taking the grunge ethos seriously as an adult basically has the same effect on taking emo ethos seriously in high school.

Not much good can come of it.

The continued good health, resilience and prosperity of Dave Grohl is far more interesting to me than the predictable decline of his peers.

Committed suicide. I was surprised it wasn't heroin truthfully.

Saw Soundgarden back in the day at a Day on the Green, Oakland Coliseum. You and your voice will be missed. RIP Chris.

That was my exact thought as well. I'm extremely surprised that he ended it on his terms.

Not sticking a shotgun in your mouth or a noose around your neck is a great start. Point taken though.

Cobain, Cornell, & Michael Hutchence. Three great vocalist/frontmen who should still be making music today.

Don't forget Layne Staley. It is a miracle he lived into the 21st considering how bad a horse addict he was.

CC did an interview with Stern last year and he talked about his sobriety and how he had left drugs behind years earlier. Alcohol had been his last demon.

Big loss.
