So far the Open has been entertaining

DJ can completely overwhelm this track if the weather is benign

I still don't understand the desire by most amateur golfers to arrange that trip to the home of golf. I hate shit weather and enjoy playing golf in it even less.
Phil looks like he is going to get into contention

ESPN doing an exponentionally better job than FOX did with the US OPEN. Tirico at the point is fantastic. FOX needs to never cover golf again.....ever.

Come on its the home of golf.. bucket list things to do.. plus the weather is not always like that..

I lived in Germany for 14 years and never went.. Now that i am back in Italy.. and 54 yrs old its going to happen real soon.. going to Ireland for 4 days in Sept. (birthday present to me) Then in the early summer off to the old course for 7 days of golf all over the place..
This will be my last chance to go before i PCS back to the USA.. Plus logisticaly its way cheaper for me to go now..

You should go if you can...

Great round by Z. Johnson...Speith and Day played 17 too conventionally for the situation and hit poor approaches on 18...that was the difference. Oosthuizen made a great charge.

you could look at it like that... but i look at all 18 Jordan played on Monday.. The 4 putt on a par 3, mishits, missed putts that he normally makes..

I am sure he is tired from being on the road, back to back to back tournaments.. living in hotels, shitty sleep paterns etc.. You can blame all sorts of stuff..

I sure give him credit... he is one hell of a 21yr old.. If america only had 25 million like him... well i wont go there....

Fuck Yeah!

I won 2 tickets to the Masters next year in the lottery!

Booked a Hotel room already, my and my Brother (Orangesteel) are headed down there for 5 days to play some golf and attend the Friday (2nd Round)

So excited, definitely something that both of us wanted to do at least once.

Any recommendations are very much appreciated!

The Masters!!!!!

Could make a good movie out of his story.

And some good theater with Spieth hitting a couple great shots including that ridiculous shot out of that bunker to keep himself in contention.

Jason Day broke Tiger's record for lowest score ever in a major.

Spieth is now ranked #1, the second youngest ever to have the #1 ranking (behind Tiger).

So if Day wins the tour championship, does he get player of the year over Spieth??

No, at this point, nothing can negate his majors performances...

Spieth may not be willing to leave it to chance....... only a couple back and playing well at East Lake

Despite Rory's apparent disinterest in the 10 mill, I have a feeling he's going to get it going and win this thing.

Spieth's CADDIE would rank #39 in earnings if he were a PGA player:

And if Spieth ever gets hurt he can work as Vince Vaughan's stunt double.

I'm a junkie and it's raining here so I'm watching President's Cup

Really bad timing for this event coming right afret Tour Championship, hard to imagine the guys getting up for team competition, but they are actually playing well.....good matches

Definitely like the Korean fans appropriate applause and genuine "aaah" after good tee shots as opposed to beer soaked jackasses in the U.S. feeling they didn't get their money's worth unless screaming "you da man!" Or "get in the hole" after every shot.....

Interesting article about the "bug" in Speith's swing actually being a feature:

http://ftw.usatoday.com/2015/12/tiger-w ... od-at-golf

Kind of consistent with the "square to square" pop up adds you see all the time.

Yeah he is pulling his lower half through with very passive hands...

These Texas players can flight it and can get up and down out of a garbage can......

But make no mistake about it, the difference between Spieth and the world right now is how he rolls it. That kid damn near makes everything he looks at.......

Rory better get back into the fray soon......

Jordan wins again to kick off his 2016, dominant again at Kapalua (place looks incredible)......

Kid is just in a different zone right now, fun to watch

Rickie wins at Abu Dhabi......

This may be his year to get a major.....

That fucking falcon shaped clubhouse is a perfect example of what happens when tasteless dirtbags have money....

I dunno. I think Speer and Goebbels would have loved it.

Absolute favorite sporting event of the year getting ready to start....

So who you got?

I'm going with:

1) Winner: Rickie Fowler. Because he is Rickie damn Fowler
2) Sleeper: Louis Oostheizun. Has been rock solid the past few months.
3) Darkhorse: Sergio Garcia. Can play in potential bad weather. Not sure if he could close on Sunday down the stretch. To good a ball striker not to get one.

I'm devastated right now....

Just placed 2nd in a million dollar qualifier on Draft Kings. Won $150, but I was 10 points from $8000 and a spot in the big tourney. My line up was Willet, Westwood, Casey, Matsuyama, Snedeker and the guy that fucking killed me...Charl Schwartzel. I'm crushed right now....need a drink.

Kudos on the Westwood/Willet picks. If you would have told me those 2 would be on a leaderboard last week I would have guessed it must be the Ashbury GC member guest....

What a cruel game. I'll bet Spieth hasn't hit a ball as badly as the drop he rinsed on 12 since he was 14 years old and had just woke up. I have a sinking feeling he is going to make a swing change which could spell disaster....

If Dustin Johnson could putt he would dominate.....

59 watch at the Players!

Rory 7 under thru 8, but is playing the back first.

Power group is all going low, maybe can keep him going on the front.....

He's baaaaaaaack!!!

Tiger teeing up at the hero!

I hope he plays well and his body holds up. I don't think it will happen though, this game is just merciless...

Tigers seems a lot more humble/funny in his interviews...

no cut, small field. this has all the makings of dead last, 20 shots back on Sunday......

glutes firing! glutes firing!

he's a good 20 lbs lighter, looks lean, limber.

good round, easy golf course.

big point: he played in under 3 hours. these 5 hour rounds are fucking ridiculous. playing slow is just a bad habit.

how cool would it be to see El Tigre' in the hunt with Rory/DJ/Phil in April?!?
