Canucks waxed Philly last night so hopefully they are tired tonight.

Penguins projected lineup

Conor Sheary -- Sidney Crosby -- Patric Hornqvist

Bryan Rust -- Jake Guentzel -- Phil Kessel

Carl Hagelin -- Riley Sheahan -- Josh Archibald

Tom Kuhnhackl -- Greg McKegg -- Ryan Reaves

Brian Dumoulin -- Kris Letang

Olli Maatta -- Justin Schultz

Matt Hunwick -- Ian Cole

Matt Murray

Tristan Jarry

Scratched: Chad Ruhwedel

Injured: Evgeni Malkin (upper body), Carter Rowney (hand)

Don't forget, the Pens play Boston tomorrow at 1PM on NBC. Funny but the Pens are on a home swing right now.

Great entry there on the PP; Jake ties it.

Slow starts are really getting on my nerves.
That the Pens are not better 5 on 5 is a huge problem.

Boeser beat Murray over the glove hand. Just wired it at his weak spot.

Mears said that the Pens had two days of tough practice where skating was the focus. Sure didn't look like it to me. At least Letang got his slap shot on goal on the second PP.

Yeah, they don’t really look like they are skating, not harder than Vancouver at least. 5-5 passing has been bad; they look worn out which doesn’t make much sense.

Derrick Pouliot, fucking Derrick Pouliot.

One thing is for sure, the Pens haven't gotten their share of breaks so far this year. Then again I believe you make your breaks.
Effort?

And if we had to play Tampa right now in a best of 7 series we would get our dicks ripped off.

Good thing that isn’t happening for at least another 5 months then, huh?

That they’re back to back Stanley Cup Champions, it’s November, and very much in the playoffs.

Any other dumb questions?

Every month, are you just going to point to the fact that it isn’t playoff time yet as an indicator to not be concerned about the product on the ice?

How are they very much in the playoffs? That’s dumber than criticizing me about being critical about this team in November. Like, waaaaaay fucking dumber

I am, yes.

Why? Because we’ve won back to back Stanley Cups, something no team has done in nearly 20 years. A feat 30 other NHL teams would give their left nut for right now.

That means several things. First of all, it means this team knows what it takes to get there and do it. Therefore, I’m going to trust them to do what it takes when it matters most and not panic when it matters the least (aka, now).

It also means that if all else fails and we don’t get there...it’s fine. Know when the last 3-peat was? 1983. 35 years ago. If we don’t 3-peat...it’s fine. It’s still a damn good run and we still have the pieces to put another run together next year. I won’t lose sleep over it.

So my choices are to sit here and whine and complain over a bunch of things that don’t matter much, or sit back and enjoy the ride while I wait for something that’s actually important to happen. I pick the latter. Which of us do you think is enjoying the season more, you or me? Bet it’s me. So what are you gaining from whining game after game? Nothing.

Any other dumb questions?

Ahhh, changing the question now, while ignoring my questions. Classic internet argument tactic. If you call me hitler, I think you win a free toaster.
