No lines were given on nhl.com but I'll wager they will be much the same as they were against Ottawa.

Owe these fucks a beating.

I don't know, without Murray it might be ugly already.

I think the key to hemming in Chicago is to get on Kane right off the bat. Don't give him space. Easier said than done but Nashville was able to frustrate him last year in the playoffs.
Problem is that our defense doesn't really have that player and I think our system doesn't allow the forwards to play the style to suffocate him.

Then again Chicago might be that team the Pens can't match. Four periods so far this season and they have owned us.

Ok but how do you excuse that one, of all he faced, is the one that gets by? I get it, goals happen.

Wow, Geno, please remove your head from your ass. What a bad shift that was.

He was under siege for so long prior to the goal that any mistake on his part was bound to go in.
I don't think the forwards have been that bad it is the defense. Malkin and Crosby won the vast majority of their FO's in the first but got little help from others with the exception of Hagelin, Rust for bits and Reaves who has played much tighter recently.

Seems like the Pens are building here in the second.

Maybe a bit but a hit like that can really fuck up someone’s neck. Dumb play by Geno

Like QB's in the NFL.

Malkin made a great play to split the D and was going to track the puck behind the net and Crawford lunges into him. How was he supposed to make a move when going full bore?
I know by rule it was a penalty but there was no intent there by Malkin to interfere, he got caught in no man's land.

Not arguing with the penalty. Gotta call it.

But he looked like he got shot. I think he screwed himself by overplaying it and triggering concussion protocol.

Yeah, I don’t blame Malkin there. Making a hard play for the puck and shit happens.

That was a quick injury whistle by the refs.

Like the NFL the NHL doesn't enforce that rule with any regularity. Too often you see goalies run over, nothing is called but in a game like that with the way the situation unfolded they call it.

Getting the cross ice passes through. Problem is that they are no where near the target so far-kills the flow and OZ possession.

I like this Schmaltz kid. The kind of third line center that would thrive on this team.
