Finally.

Got even less than what I was expecting for him, but whatever. Longer we waited, less were we going to get for him, considering how his career was going.

Another move by the Pens that helped the team and the ex player. They have been hitting on their moves the past few years for sure!

Yea but it was surprising because we've been hearing all about Pouliout for Sheahan for weeks

My guess is that Holland wanted way more and JR told him to fuck off

We get SOMETHING for a guy we were going to lose to waivers. Best we could make out of an awful scenario. I really had high hopes for DP51. When he first showed up he had flashes, think he scored a goal in his first few games or something in the NHL. But he got injured and I think he never came back from it. I don't think he'll cut it in the NHL

The Wings are keeping Sheahan as insurance, since signing Athanisou(sp?) is looking less likely.

I bet AA signs no later than the end of October

McKegg was actually pretty impressive last night. I'm not the biggest fan of Sheahan as the acquisition at 3C, either. He was definitely misused under Blashill, played out of position, lost PP minutes, etc, but his production has fallen off a cliff. He's a reclamation project, at best. Also, I think given Sid and Geno's history, whoever the get at 3C is, he'd better be capable of sliding up into the top 6, at least on a limited basis. Not sold on Sheahan at all in that scenario.
