Time to shine.

Looks like Rust, Hornqvist and Schultz are game time decisions but Sullivan didn't seem to optimistic about their chances.

Get to the net.

Who's in net? Tough to read, but based on Sullivan not being definitive, I'm thinking it's Murray.

I think it's MAF who gets the start

And yes, getting to the net is crucial.

If Schultz is out, I sadly think we have zero chance

NHL can't be too happy at prospect of Ottawa Anaheim. Ana has advantage with 2 at home all tied and Ott has 2 with lead. Network, league ideal is Pens Preds, need at least one in finals. We may have to steal game 6. Pens Ott could go 7 with Pens bringing mo, drama and hype into the finals. Canadians will watch finals w/o a Canadian team. Hope they rebound tonight but it's not over if they don't.

I think Murray gets the start and steals one.

Really, he doesn't even need to steal it-- just keep the puck out of the net during the inevitable surge and give the team a chance to get some offensive flow. If D can simply make smart plays to get the puck out of its own end, it's doable. Big IF.

Being reported that Murray is getting the nod. First one off for practice.

I'd have gone with Fleury with a short leash.

But hey, Murray looked good when he came in.

On the downside, if Murray doesn't play well or gets hurt again, Fleury's confidence might be shot and could be a disaster. Let's hope that's not the case.

Confident either 'tender can get us a W tonight, and that's all I care about.

I mean, let's say you really worry about Fleury's confidence. Why would you put him in a spot where if he gives up a softie, he is getting pulled? Doesn't that work both ways?

Coach Sullivan says Hornqvist, Rust, and Schultz will not play tonight. They all skated this morning and are still day-to-day.

Murray confirmed as the starter

Not really, no.

Louis Lipps Service -- why not? Can you explain the mental difference between having to look over your shoulder v. being replaced, and then coming back into the next game? Of course there are qualitative differences, but it isn't clear to me that one is worse than the other. It also isn't clear to me how Fleury would react to either. He was pretty awful early in the season when he was trying to "win" the job from Murray.

I guess my whole point is that if Fleury is this fragile, then it seems like a good choice to go to Murray.
