bull pen by committee in position to win; Polanco and bell have turned into a dangerous combo in the batters box dare I say! . will it last, can Vasquez close out another.

Awesome! Outscored in the series 19-8, but leading series 2-1.

Gotta agree with Jeemie, though. Hard to be confident it lasts.

To paraphrase Capt. Miller when he asked of PFC Reiben in Saving Private Ryan, "When's the last time you felt confident about anything?"

Bucs were outscored like 268 to 5 in the '60 World Series when Bill Mazeroski happened.

Okay, I'm not too excited either, but stranger things in baseball history have happened. Hope always springs eternal, and I HATE the fucking Cardinals so gonna enjoy these wins when they happen.

Pirates and the Indians only two teams with double digit negative run differentials to also have a winning record thus far (and the Indians' is only -11. Ours is -39...only Baltimore, Detroit and Miami have worse negative run differentials. San Diego at -8 is the only other team with a negative run differential and a winning record).

Amazingly the Pirates are only 6-6 in one run games. I thought they'd have a better record than that because of all the low scoring games they play and win...but they don't.

Pirates BADLY need to find some offense if they are to stay in this thing.
