I see it was actually Marte that got carted off, but Gonzalez to me seemed to take the brunt of the impact from their collision.

Bucs are calling up Cole Tucker to play SS.

I don't know why they don't just go Kang at SS and Moran at third.

I guess they are that worried about the defense because they aren't scoring many runs.

Cole Tucker is the real fucking deal and a MAJOR upgrade over Kang at SS is the reason why 8-)

I fully expect Cole to make a case for never being sent back down.

Gonzalez with a fractured clavicle...on 60 day.

Marte with a bruise...to IL for 10 days at least.

Now maybe we can get some production from the SS position. Another example of Marte making the team better.

The Pirates have always been happy with Tucker’s glove and arm. He was called up because his power is starting to show.

3 HR in 13 games at Indy this year compared to 5 HR in 133 games in Altoona last year.

Not that he’ll be a 20 HR guy, but the fears that he’ll be all glove, no stick were pretty much gone before the call-up.

Keep an eye on his BB/K. By the time Gonzalez is ready to return, Tucker’s plate discipline will be what decides his fate.

This is partly true. But mostly he was called up because they really didn't have any other passable options the play SS. It must have been like pulling teeth for NH to call this kid up this early and have him likely be Super 2 Arb eligible. But yeah, Tucker seems legit. I think he will be a 20+ HR guy...eventually. He is still a kid and looks to be just starting to fill out. He has a really nice swing that will barrel a lot of balls. Give him another year or two to mature and the power will be there.
