As Pabst said, don't take this one lightly especially with Eichel suspended. I'm hoping this surge continues and with the chase towards a better playoff slot, they keep the pedal to the floor.

I won't be shocked if they come out flat but I will be if they don't rally. Even though it is against an inferior foe who is struggling they can't afford to lose out on any points.

I was looking back at the last 30 + years for the Pens and what they have done is really amazing.

5 Cups
4 players with 1000 points in their Penguin careers

15 Art Ross Trophies
7 Hart Trophies

Amazing stuff-

Penguins projected lineup
Jared McCann -- Sidney Crosby -- Jake Guentzel

Teddy Blueger -- Evgeni Malkin -- Phil Kessel

Dominik Simon -- Nick Bjugstad -- Patric Hornqvist

Joseph Blandisi -- Matt Cullen -- Garrett Wilson

Brian Dumoulin -- Zach Trotman

Jack Johnson -- Justin Schultz

Marcus Pettersson -- Erik Gudbranson

Casey DeSmith

Matt Murray

Scratched: Juuso Riikola

Injured: Olli Maatta (upper body), Bryan Rust (lower body), Kris Letang (upper body), Chad Ruhwedel (upper body), Zach Aston-Reese (lower body)

I'd take Olli Maata on his off side rather than see Trotman anymore. He's a tire fire as an NHL defender

Blandisi is appropriately named. I don't remember anything about his game last time out.

Fractal, the real question is: How many Lady Byngs?

Sid for Selke!

And yeah, that 4th line as it sits might be the definition of Meh.

Good job Sully, resisting the urge to monkey with that first line. I think he's fighting the devil on his shoulder not to shove Simon on there.

Whatever, Let's Go Pens!

I knew that Kehoe won it once, maybe twice and when I looked it up I totally forgot that Francis won it one year.

The Red Wings are the ONLY, only, only other franchise with 4 -1000 point scorers in league history. I figured Montreal would have the most.

Blah period. Sabres are clogging the blue line waiting for the Pens to TO in the neutral zone.

Bengals want to make their pick!!!!

Geno scoring again.

Kessel scoring again.

Horny scoring again.

If you ever wanted to know what it looks like when a team hits its stride, look no further!

When Wilson had that late breakaway, I was thinking... holy crap even Garrett–– and then he missed and I said out loud, "Yeah, that's too much to ask of the hockey gods!"

Thankfully the lines are crystallizing.

L1 is set
L2 Seems to be ok with TB-Geno- PHil
L3 Seems to be good. Simon and Horny always seemed to gel regardless of Center

Only thing that is the wild card is Rust, who I think should slot in TB's place (and I love TB)

Wasn't able to watch the game, saw highlights.

Gudbranson and McCann are certainly contributing. And Dsmith looks like murray sitting behind Fleury from the little I've seen.

He also got lucky on a couple of occasions.

I'd be into easing Rusty back in on the 4th line, some seasoning on that white bread.

Caps and Isles both won yesterday, so we unfortunately didn't make up any ground last night.

But the cream is starting to rise to the top in the Metro, as there's now 5 points between the Pens and Canes.

I called it-the Pens came out a bit slow but they kept at it, chipped away and took over.

And that woman who sung the anthems, she was so very pretty.
