Can NBC stretch this out any longer?
It was really nice that they gave Malkin some spotlight but they pretty much ignored the fact that Crosby is the hottest player on the planet right now and has been for a good while-typical of them.

Murray the starter and last time he started back to back he was outstanding in the second start.

Jugs!!!

Great shift by Simon there. He’s been absent for a while but that goal was all effort and all him.

Guentzel and Malkin have to stop looking for the perfect pass and just shoot the fucking puck. Both turned down great shot opportunities in the first.

Somehow Murray saw that last deflected shot and made the stop. Whew.

Momentum has definitely switched to Boston. Pens currently sleepwalking.

Cullen has been a huge factor tonight. He won 3 of 4 FO's against Bergeron so far. Don't forget his efforts on the PK.

I wish Sully would roll with the same lines that work instead of playing the manipulator he likes to with such.

The first team that gets to the forecheck is going to win this one.

Always wonder what those guys on her panel are thinking looking at her, trying to do their jobs.

Is Casey DeSmith ever back in goal? Seems like Pens are in mega-playoff mode, not deviating from Matt Murray in net.

I normally subscribe to the theory that Murray tends to break down when he plays too long without a break. But with how he's been playing lately, and with the logjam atop the Metro, I wouldn't sit him either.

I do think you need to give DeSmith a couple of games before playoffs start, just not right now.

Which begs the question of "when?". Looking at the schedule, I'd have DeSmith penciled in for St. Louis on 3/16 (the first of a back to back), Red Wings on 4/2, and a third game somewhere in there, determined by how things are going...all of that dependent on if Murray can continue playing the way he has, of course. If he falls apart, then that obviously changes things.
