Let me guess, Murray has another concussion.

Murray has played too deep in his goal all night. I don't blame him for the fifth goal but the second and third goals were saves a week ago.

How about that, a team up by four gives up a shortie.

I do like the effort from the home team in the third until the 5 minute major(cough, bullshit).

Geno Malkin needs to go see a shrink or something. This is as bad as he’s ever looked. It looks like even he is starting to question his talents which is crazy. I don’t understand what is up with the dude.

He can go visit Murray's "Lower Body" specialist.

Although that magic appears to be wearing off.

It certainly doesn’t get easier this week. Pens need to rebound against two good teams to right the ship. This is not the time of the year you want to be losing to teams like the Devils with their best player watching from home.

The Pens alumni team that played vs the Israeli national team had more jump in their legs than the actual Pens did last night.

P.S.: Did my eyes deceive me or was that Shaun Suisham playing for the alumni Pens and scoring a goal?

He's Canadian. Why are you surprised?

Btw, Israel has some legit awesome jerseys.

Malkin-
it is hard to watch because the last two seasons he was so good. Last year he had an MVP type of season. This year it has been difficult to watch. Don't really know what the issue is but his funk started about the time Hagelin was traded(I mention of this a month ago).
One goal in his last 9 games-that is surprising. I don't know how many 5 on 5 goals he has this year but I'm betting you can count them on one hand. Even his PP #'s are below average.

What sticks out is his +/- numbers. -20 right now. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that 9 or ten of his -'s are on the 11 shorties the team has surrender this season. Add in that he has been on the ice most of the time when the other team scores with the Pens tender pulled.

12 goals is not acceptable from a player of his talents.

All that said, he is still more than a point per game player this year.

Last night was so hard to stomach. No one was any good. They way they played last night I would have guessed that Tomlin was coaching the team over the all star break. They came alive in the third and owned the ice until the bogus 5 minute call. So we know they can do it but too often this year this team has coasted and I'm getting sick of it.

Like Orange said prior, the quality teams are lining up on the schedule. Play like they did the first two periods last night and the playoffs might evaporate.
