Here's hoping Martin Jones reverts back to early season form. Goaltending is the only thing holding the Sharks back this year.

LGP.

Should be a battle, two good teams. Letang needs to play better than last game, that’s for sure.

Oleksiak has been playing some shitty hockey since he’s been back.

Very lucky it’s 2-1. We were dominated for 85% of that period.

Pretty sure they are paying Jake G. a lot more money to not coast to the net like that. Shitty effort on his part.

Two pretty shitty games in a row. One against a bad team, one against a really good team. Don’t know what to make of that.

Only watched about half the game, but looked like a prime example of a game where Hornqvist and even ZAR would have made a very noticeable difference. I'm not one to push the whole "physical presence" mantra as I don't think today's NHL requires that as much as it used to, but I think yesterday's game was an exception to that.

Then again, not many that were.

I don't like blaming one player for a loss but...Oleksiak has been in the lineup the past three games. The Pens haven't been very good in those games. They have allowed a lot of goals in those three games.
The team seemed to play better sans Oleksiak prior to the last three games.
Just saying.

The good news is that Schultz seems to be fairly close to making a comeback. That should essentially force them to bench Oleksiak. Or maybe even toss Oleskiak in with a trade before the deadline, if Schultz is close enough to returning.

Cause then we're looking at a D lineup of:

Letang/Dumo
Schultz/Maatta
Johnson/Petterson
Riikola

And you know, that ain't half bad.

There was no time after we lost the lead in the first that we looked even capable of winning. That was a Steelers-like display of lethargy. And now we'll likely be two points out of third place by the time the puck drops on Friday.

I just don't understand the fascination with Olek when you have a very capable replacement in Rikko waiting to get in.

I agree Olek sucks and should be on his way out the door with Brass

And it's not like Riiko isn't physical. He is faster can play on the PP and has better hands. The only thing he doesn't have comparatively is size.
