I'll post the lines when nhl.com releases them after 2 PM.

Focus energies on the ice rather than the grassy surface.

Pens added depth this offseason. Looking at the roster it is a better one than it was last year. Fourth line has a chance to be a real factor game in game out.

Yeah, the Caps crushed the Bruins last night feeding off a frenzied crowd and celebrating a raised banner. I only watched about 20 minutes(not contiguous) and I have to say the Bruins either had one of those nights or they are not nearly as good as advertised.

Enjoy the game tonight LLS.

Thanks, brother.

Ready to get this train a-rollin'!

And as you said, very excited to be able to put football on the back burner where it deserves to be at this point.

If the Stillers find some way to miraculously turn their season around...great. If not, I'll be just fine.

Raask allowed 2 soft goals in the opening two minutes, and the Caps PP absolutely destroyed the Bruins (4/6 on the night).

Key to tonight - stay the hell out of the box.

For me I'm not looking at overall strategy this early in the season. Yes, in general you want to stay out of the box.

What I'm looking for isn't the score...just overall compete level, are the lines meshing, is there good communication between the F's and D in terms of pinching and rotating, etc.

Funny about last night: you might say Boston looked like a team that treated their first game like a Preseason game, much like another team in black and gold...

In hockey, with 82 games on the schedule, I totally agree.

I'd still like to beat the damn Craps, though.

How many back to backs are the Craps getting hosed with this season, just out of curiosity?

Last likeable Steeler Ryan Shazier gets the crowd pumped up.

Evening gents!

The game was like a re-enactment of the firebombing of Dresden, with Tukka Rask and Jaroslav Halak playing the role of Dresden....by the third period even the pylon was getting multiple looks. It was savage.

I counted at least ten on the schedule, with another one next week.

Sweet, back to ignoring Malba since he hasn’t found a caps board yet.

Very weak goals by Murray to start. Give the linesman an assist on the Caps first goal since he aided it coming into the zone.

4 shots 3 goals and it should have been 4 goals. Sid needed to hold that another second but still was a sick move.

Weird start to a game.

FFS at least challenge Ovie in front of the net. Dumo stood there looking at Letang like he was responsible. Neither of them made a play on Ovie and it was too easy for 8.

The best thing I can say about that period was that the PK came through.
Murray was shaky but the defense is still not good enough in their own end and I'm looking at Letang there. He just makes bad decisions in his own end instead of making the simple play.

When I say "regain his form" in regards to Letang, I mean, make about one good play to offset each bad one.

Tanger!

I’m switching between listening to the Steelerfury podcast and the game. All kinds of ups and downs haha.

And there's the great play to make up for the bad one. 2016 form!

Probably going to be some free food in one city or the other after this one tonight.
Simon deserved that goal-he has done some good/hard work tonight around the net.

Not real happy with the effort from the second line tonight.

That Geno guy is pretty good. I think at this point, Frac is 100% on the negative juju. Not sure how that would help you with a Powerball ticket tonight, but it's worth pondering, brother.
