Have some friends coming in from out of town and will likely be watching the game from a bar somewhere, so getting this up early while I'm sober.

Let's go Pens!

Here's hoping the Pens stay hot and the rest of the division stays cold. It's amazing how tight the Metro is top to bottom.

Caps have owned the East so far.

Watched the Caps/Flyers the other night. Philly came out smoking and had so many chances in the first that the game should have been over. Once again Nervith sucked and cost his team a chance.
The Caps were lazy for most of the game but got back into it on the PP.
Orpik sucked complete ass in the game and we should be able to tool him as well.

Congrats to Malkin on being named the Player of the month-12 goals in a month.

PP goal to open the period 3-1

Holtby complaining about interference when there was nothing to complain about except his teammates leaving him out dry.

The slight stick by Oshie effected Rusts shot. He had to double clutch which through things off a bit. Pens having some good opportunities. Need guys in front bumping Holtby and his mind will be more on them than following and tracking the puck.

Well, in typical Caps style, they take a penalty to remove a player. Makes our D thin and a bit more confusing. Pens may have to retreat to a bit more defensive approach as breakdowns are more prone to happen

I was surprised Sullivan didn't challenge that goal. Probably wouldn't matter as it will take 4 or 5 to win this game anyway

I saw this game a few nights ago.

No choirboys on either side but Oshie doesn't have to do that to Letang.

Give credit to the Caps for staying in it and working a tie. The Pens let the Caps dictate play after going up 2 and the Caps took it.
Effort:
Crosby all game, Hagelin as well. Most of the other forwards, not so much.

Can you challenge a hand pass?

Kinda lousy period by pens. Maybe just on WAS 2nd goal, lots of lackluster skating leading up to Orlov coasting in and blasting one.

Have to win this game.

Malkin touched the pass on its way over. That’d have stood.

Not a defensive gem by any standard.

Is this an NBA game disguised as hockey?

Kessel 6-4

Malkin with a real nice defensive play in his end and up the ice they go.

This one isn't over.

Holtby clearly doesn't know whether to cry or wind his watch.

I don't know what the rest of yinz think, but Lipps is making a strong run for this seasons Pens MVP. Turned our season around with the game thread mojo he has go'in on.

All about the positive vibe, brother.

When you look for a reason to be negative, you’ll invariably find one.

Stay positive, and you’ll see the good things the team has to offer.
