Let’s go. Sens are a beaten team right now; this is a game the Pens need to win at home. In fact, we get a nice little home stretch here; let’s get some needed points.

Pens hopefully can embarrass the Sens tonight, thereby decreasing Duchene/Pagaeu/Brassard's trade value.

Looks like Guentzel stays on the 4th line:

Elsewhere in the Metro:
- Philly and NJ go at it tonight. We'll see if the Flyers stay hot & NJ stays cold
- Caps start a brutal stretch tonight (@ Winnipeg, Minnesota, & Chicago over the next 5 days), then they get Buffalo & Tampa in an away/home back to back. This is a good chance to make up some ground.

Need to get more pucks on the net in the second. Time possession in the OZ needs to be better as well.

First there was Hans GRUBAUER from Die Hard.

Now it’s Mr. Anderson from The Matrix.

Flood gates are open.

What a weird game.
Pens MAKING the most of their chances for sure.
Before he scored Malkin hadn't seen much ice for nearly 5 minutes. Don't know if it was equipment or something else.
Good for Aston-Reese.

Anyone notice the smoking hot blonde behind the Pens bench during the first period? On the far right side(TV). Hasn't been there since from what I can see.

Crosby deserves a goal tonight-best player for the Pens in the OZ tonight.

With that kind of velocity on his shots I might make a play for Brussard

There always seems to be a smoking hottie or two behind the Pens bench. I think they plant them there for “good luck”.

Letang has spent a lot of time deep in the offensive zone the past few games. I think that's a fantastic sign for him. As we all know, he's never been a particularly good d-man when he's on his heels and playing re-actively. But when he has the confidence to play a proactive game and be aggressive, he can be pretty damn dangerous and much more effective. If there were ever such a thing as a "downhill" hockey defenseman, it'd be him.

It's almost like he was born to be a PP QB

Only saw bits and pieces so I can't comment much on ZAR. But if he were to somehow stick, that bodes well for our winger depth

Next up: Kicking Carter fucking Rowney out of the lineup

I wasn't particularly impressed with ZAR in his first few games, but he's definitely improving game by game and could certainly be a force if he keeps it up.

Simon, on the other hand, I've been impressed with every since he initially got called up. Guy has some skill and confidence, for sure.

It's amazing how every year, we get another wave of callups that end up sticking with, and contributing to, a championship caliber team.

ZAR has been getting minutes.
He is supposed to be a net front presence though he isn't big. The TV guys keep saying he styles himself after Hornqvist but I haven't seen such. Kid seems to have come alive last night-prior to that he played a bit tentatively IMO.

Simon is the guy who has surprised. So much so that if he continues this kind of progress then Sprong might become a trade piece?

Might as well trade him if you're not going to use him. He's still scoring nonstop down at WBS. I don't understand what the issue is when you're so shorthanded that you're playing Reeves quality minutes.
