Watched a few Oklahoma games this year and mayfield looks to me like the real deal
He promptly threw an iNT as if typed ;)
Still looks like a pro qb

I have seen him struggle throwing into tight windows but he does look better than most.

He can't declare before 2019, but I've really been impressed with Nate Stanley from Iowa. Any of you draftniks have an opinion?

I'm on the Baker Mayfield bandwagon. His lack of size doesn't scare me. I love his heart and IQ.

At least one NFL scout (Steelers) here watching Marshall QB Chase Litton warm up.

Alot to like

A few things to work on...Alot to work with

He throws a pretty ball
He is accurate.

I dislike the fade on release.

I’d rather have Mason Rudolph, I’m not digging Mayfield

Safety, ILB/OLB Corner.... Then look at Offense if you must.

What is the thought on Justin Reid FS Stanford. I like him. Would he be that late 1st round pick?

This years safety class draft is nothing short of fantastic.

Most years Justin Reid is a top 50 pick at the latest.

This year...He may last to the 3rd round

I agree for the Strong safety class. The Free safety class is weak.

FC - I see Fitzpatrick and James as top-10 guys.
Outside of that, I don't see a 1st round FS talent?
What am I missing?

Reid looks good, but not a game-changer IMO.

Location: Sunny Delaware (but the murdery part)
Move Sean Davis to FS and draft a SS if that class is stronger.

I love this idea. Have mentioned it myself. Davis may be the better FS candidate from a physical standpoint. Has the height, length and speed (bigger, stronger and faster than Mitchell) to play deep center in addition to that highly valued position flexibility. Can play Corner, SS and FS. For me a run stuffing/pass defending SS is priority in 2018 draft.

They might need to add on in round 2 after taking an ILB

Any predictions on who may or may not return next season?

I wanna say Sensabaugh and Gay are both history. Wanna say McCullers is also history. Moats in the history category. Maybe Heyward-Bey and Golden make it back to camp but are ousted for younger more dynamic players. That's 6 posible by my 'opinionated' account.

I've got to think we'll lose Hubbard to FA. He's unrestricted and is too good to stay here as a backup. Go out there and get a fat contract and a nice supp pick for us in '19.

I think Wilcox gets cut. We're going to need to create some cap space, he's got a close to a $4 mill cap hit with no dead money, and we'll be drafting a safety. Seems like an easy cut.

Talk about another really dumb move by this front office, another draft pick wasted.

I think Michell could be cut to save 6 M

I agree with the Hubbard scenario. I think he's played himself off the roster ala Beachum...

I hope Wilcox agrees to a pay cut or new contract after the season. Otherwise, I agree Wilcox should be a cap casualty.

Mitchell will retire a Steeler. Book it. He plays out his contract here. They'll expect Mitchell's tutelage for the newly drafted rookie FS they get in 2018...

Both are done at this level. One by talent (lack of) the other by age.
