Couldn't find my thread from last year, so here is one for this season. Hopefully they hang 80 on VT tonight to avenge last year's 14 point loss. That was the 1st time the school's had played ever, by the way.

GO BUCKEYES!

45-17 win for THE OSU.

Va Tech has no business hanging with Ohio State in this game other than sometimes funny shit happens in early season games.

I should have been right on the exact score.

Kicker missed from 43 and fumble led to a VT score late.

Miller's long TD run was sick. That is some scary athleticism.

Miller could end up in the first round because of the switch in positions. He's better in the open field than Tavon Austin was at WVU or Percy Harvin at Florida, he has size, some QB ability, and if he continues to improve as a pure receiver, a creative offensive coordinator could make him a star. Absolutely electric with the ball in his hands. Enticing prospect.

Jones didn't exactly hurt himself on a weekend where folks like Hogan and Hackenburg took significant steps backwards as far as draft stock are concerned.

Pretty interesting Barrett's teammates voted him captain, and he isn't even starting. Watching him on the sidelines last night says a lot about the culture of this team.

Sucks about the VA Tech QB. Hope he gets healthy as soon as possible. While sort of ironic given his halftime comments, it was a nasty hit.

He said "they will have to hit me a hell of a lot harder than that to get me off the field" or something like that.

I would say he got his wish fairly quickly.

I chuckled momentarily, then felt bad about it.

Then I watched their backup play, and I felt worse.

Beamer has yet another big time coaching job ahead of him if that team is going to amount to much this year.

That said, I'd take both of their tight ends over what the Steelers currently have outside of (and maybe including) Miller, and that's going to be a damn good ACC defense.

We have to limit the careless mistakes next game. Getting actual punt returners back should certainly help, but hold on to the damn ball, gents.

Truthfully, Buckeyes played a pretty sloppy game 3 TOs, missed FG, numerous penalties...yet still put up 42 against what will likely be a pretty solid defense. Once they get everyone back... !

Excited to see big Bosa added to that front seven. He was missed both rushing the passer and setting the edge last night. Hawaii will be an interesting test in the home opener.

I agree on the slop and slather last night, but I'll forgive the fumble on the punt. Elliot had never done that before, and the kid from Tech kicks a difficult ball. Marshall and Wilson are back next game.

NIU has made a mockery of Ohio State's offense today. Great game by the NIU defense.

Ohio State was sloppy as hell, but NIU is a damn good team. Hats off to the MAC. Lucky to get out of that one.

Bucks have been sloppy on offense each of the first three weeks. Reading their press clippings???
Thank gawd the defense came to play!

Hopefully this was the necessary wake-up call.

Hopefully not and they carry it through their game with the undefeated Hoosiers!

We will respectfully agree to disagree there. I'm sure KC will chime in, as well. Basketball season is coming, though. Everything will be fine.

All you gotta do is win.

Not pretty at times, but win and you are in the playoffs. Personally I hope to see them run more, and use play-action frequently.

Well, it happened.

I don't like the fact that Cardale got benched, but JT seemed to spark the team a bit. He's going to get hurt again taking so many hits, shit he was gimpy against Rutgers for a while. After last season I would have let Cardale play through his growing pains. The kid won three huge games that nobody thought he could. At the end of the day, talent will carry OSU to the Michigan and Michigan State match-ups. They will have to play well to win.

We'll agree to disagree. The calm leadership, command of the whole playbook, touch, accurate passing and breakaway run capability were on display pretty obviously over the last few weeks, from where I was sitting.

Go Bucks!

Barrett fits the offense better. It's as simple as that.
