What is your opinion on these events Pitt fans? Any candidates you want to fill the vacancies?

Pederson did great things at Pitt. For the basketball program.

I liked Chryst, thought he was building something solid in Oakland (well, not really IN Oakland, thanks for that, Pederson). As soon as Wisky lost their coach, again, I knew Chryst was outta here. Alvarez likes him, he likes Barry.

Saw earlier that Schiano is talking with them. Sounds to me like a good hire. He's built Buttgers into a respectable program already. Downside? It's probably a stepping stone job for him, too.

Say what you want about Wanny, at least he wasn't going anywhere.

My opinion is that Pitt fans have unrealistic expectations and delusions of grandeur in regards to their football program. They are what they are and that isn't going to change.

There is zero reason Pitt can't be better then a K State, TCU, or Nebraska.

Not expecting BCS, Perch, but if Duke can win an ACC divisional championship, Pitt ought to be able to, as well. My take is that when Pitt Stadium was bulldozed to make way for the (beautiful, by the way, packed with fans and an awesome place to watch a game, kind of the opposite of what Heinz Field is to the football team; industrial, cavernous, mostly empty and a chore to get to) Pederson (pun intended) Events Center, it definitely signaled a shift in focus for the Athletic Department.

Couldn't really ask for a better metaphor.
