Trade AB to the Raiders for the 24th pick

In free agency go after:

Pierre Desir - A tall, long, cover corner to handle the outside. He shut down Deandre Hopkins in the playoffs. The bulk of the budget goes to him, but he can still come cheaper than Haden.
John Brown - Not a splash signing, but a guy who is plenty capable of making splash plays. He has gotten over his injury issues, and he doesn't fit into the Lamar Jackson Wing T that Baltimore is running. Great fit and little more than $3M/year
KJ Wright - Can be had for $7-9M a year. Former Man of the Year winner, and Super Bowl champ. Great addition, and can still play coverage well.

With 19M in cap room and the ability to bump it up to 38M if needed, there should be plenty of room to give them the money it would take to bring them in.

Keep Jesse James, Ramon Foster, BJ Finney, and Chickillo.

Cut Marcus Gilbert, Jon Bostic, Morgan Burnett, and Artie Burns.

20th - DeAndre Baker - CB - Georgia - Bonafide playmaker in the secondary. Paired with Desir and combined with Haden and Sutton we enter the season deep at corner now.
24th - Devin Bush - LB - Michigan - Finally an explosive athlete at the second level again
52nd - Chauncey Gardner-Jonson - S - Florida - Ballhawk and position flexible
83rd - Hakeem Butler - WR - Iowa State - 6-6 contested catch bully. Ben smiles.
122nd - Bryce Love - RB - Stanford - steal of the draft. Kamara 2.0

The 6th and 7th rounders can be spent on line depth.

Roll into the season doubling down on WR, LB, and CB while adding a wild card playmaker at RB and Safety.

I will admit I am not a big fan of H. Butler. I think he will have a lot of trouble getting open in the NFL. I think he has a lot of David Boston in his game.

Emanuel Hall would be a better choice or a trade up for Deebo Samuels.

I would also look at Terry McLaurin (Ohio St.). Jakobi Meyers (N.C. St.) would be a good later pick. Fits the Steelers but is raw.

This draft is crazy deep in WR.

To doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection.
