The most-scrutinized injury in Sunday’s AFC divisional playoff game between the Steelers and Jaguars is that of Pittsburgh wide receiver Antonio Brown’s calf.
And the MVP candidate returning three weeks after suffering a torn calf muscle in his left leg something to watch, for sure.
But a Jaguars injury may have just as much to do with Steelers’ success as Antonio Brown’s ability to play at a high level.
Star cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who had an interception and four passes defended in Jacksonville’s 30-9 victory in Pittsburgh on Oct. 8, is ailing with an Achilles injury.

Ramsey, who also deflected a pass that was intercepted by teammate Barry Church in that October meeting, was limited the first two days of practice this week before participating fully on Friday.
Being a”full” participant in practice doesn’t mean he is 100 percent.
This could be a big deal for a cornerback.
I’m not saying he will suffer a rupture like the Seahawks’ Richard Sherman did in October when he played after showing up on the injury report due to an Achilles injury, but there is a higher chance that tendonitis leads to a tear. But any Achilles issue could be a functional impediment to being explosive and changing directions. Depending on the severity of the injury, that could hamper Ramsey especially in the cold.
Regardless, his is the most-not-talked-about injury to watch
.

This is the first I'm hearing of an Achilles issue to him, and it's coming from some website I've never heard of.

I'll have to question the authenticity of this reporting.

He was listed in injury report this week but it appears to be downplayed

The Jaguars upgraded six players on their injury report and downgraded linebacker Blair Brown (ankle). Brown, who had a limited practice Wednesday, did not practice Thursday.

Cornerback Jalen Ramsey (Achilles) and wide receiver Jaydon Mickens (hamstring) remained limited in practice.

The dr chao piece is from San Diego tribune

He’s the former drug pushing chargers ex doc
Spends his days opening on nfl injuries

Dr. Chao is pretty much the go to sports medicine doc on social media platforms, huge following including here on SF.

He's a complete fraud.

I'm still amazed he's become the "go to" guy for both fans and the media.
