Sounds like Moats is getting some serious reps at ILB this week in practice and could possibly start.

Can someone help explain this logic? I have always thought Fort played ok, and certainly better than moving an OLB inside that is probably slower than Fort.

Why not give Fort a shot and if he sucks go to Plan B, this seems like Plan B out of the gate.

I'm all for Moats getting reps at ILB. Look how they are going down like flies. It took Dirty Red One game to get himself injured. It's all about having Depth and being prepared if anyone else gets injured. We need 4 ILBs to go to the Playoffs with. And we need them to do much more than be a stop gap. We need a high level of play. Do it for Shaz!

I do think TJ has the IQ and the speed to switch to ILB. What he can't get is the reps. So I expect TJ to stay outside this season. But It's a shame to not play Deebo, who's healthy and ready.

Not sure?! Maybe because he's a vet?

I do know, as an NFL football player, Moats is garbage and I have no idea how he continues to make the team. His film says, he's a JAG.

I think I'm in the minority here, but I thought Fort was mediocre at best on Monday. Gio ran through his tackles 3-4 times. Wasn't impressed.

Fort did a shit job of lining up the defense.

He sure did and understandably so.

Shaz is the quarterback of our D. Similar to losing a Troy Polamalu. Like I stated, it's likely, to be a huge void moving forward. The pressure lies on the offense, at this point. Winning a championship has now, has become 10x more difficult.

I think Gay took over that job about 5 plays in for Fort. I am sure the classroom sessions for all defensive players will be ramped up this week with more film and tendency study to make sure everyone recognizes the same thing across the ball.

If you're in the minority, then the majority is retarded

Fort sucks -- he's a good backup, he's a terrible starter

Try anyone else please -- I think Moats will be much better - but would prefer Watt there

I can understand the move of Moats at ILB if that happens. When he was in Buffalo, they did use him early on as an ILB before he eventually moved to OLB.

While I think Fort is probably best in coverage, on early downs Moats could give us a semblance of decent run defense on early downs. Plan might be Moats early on run downs and then he comes off for Fort/Gay, or some other player on obvious 3rd down pass plays?
