Everybody, and I mean everybody - with the exception of bungles fans - knows that was a headhunting hit. Period.

Even Shannon Sharpe said as much, and was awestruck that AB held onto the ball.

They want to clean up the game from vicious hits trying to appeal to a wider demographic, and they are going to lose viewership instead.

The NFL needs to adopt the College targeting rule. It would end all of this crap on the hits. If the NFL is truly concerned with player safety they would do it.

I would be cool with the targeting rule as soon as they hold the offensive players equally accountable for the outcome of the collisions.

Defenders path and strike zone is to the chest area and the offensive players ducks into that, call the offensive player that actually created the helmet to helmet contact. Then the rule is somewhat reasonable.

It is complete BS to hold the defender solely accountable for the outcome of every collision.
