This made me laugh at loud, the NFL has become the laughing stock of all the professional leagues, such a poorly run league, no clue how to dole out punishment and zero consistency, I'm hoping Jerry Jones, as much as I despise him, is successful in getting rid of Roger.

This is a joke right?

They can't be serious.

I'm totally flabbergasted. Dumfounded and gobsmacked.

So then you can be suspended for taunting.

To borrow a phrase

We are on to Baltimore.

Save the outrage until next year.

Reasoning is that he probably couldn't have the same suspension as Gronkowski!! Too bad they didn't apply the same standard to juju. That said I think this is a positive SBI. Iloka playing Has zero effect on the Steelers. His suspension being rescinded give them one more thing to be pissed off about which I'm thinking could be a positive

So Ilokas agent, some douchebag named Ron Slavin, argued that the head to head contact between Iloka and Brown was caused by AB lowering his head in order to brace for contact. Can someone post the gif of that hit, I challenge anyone to find a lowering of the head, and AB was in the fucking air already. I just cant fathom how that suspension was overturned, and taunting after a legal helmet to chest hit was deemed suspension worthy. Just wow.

Um...no.

Iloka hit him right as he landed.

I don't normally find myself in a state of awe. I'm usually pretty good at anticipating stupidity from people/organizations that specialize in it.

This has me in awe. Suspending both/either player was already incredibly stupid.

To now only suspend one of them?!? And, from what I've heard/seen, the basis of which is taunting?!?

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow.

I just can't imagine why their ratings are down. Complete mystery.

Ok let's not put ourselves in "hope springs eternal" crowd. We go 7 years between SB appearances and suddenly we are the new Cubs. This kinda feels like 2010 lots of adversity and we just found a way through- let's hope this one ends with the trophy

If the NFLPA had any balls at all, even little tiny ones, and any capacity for long term financial planning, this next CBA negotiation should be an absolute mess. Their goal should be to burn the league office to the ground and force them to start over.

Buuuut,I’m sure they’ll roll over and take it in the ass, as per tradition.

Everybody, and I mean everybody - with the exception of bungles fans - knows that was a headhunting hit. Period.

Even Shannon Sharpe said as much, and was awestruck that AB held onto the ball.

They want to clean up the game from vicious hits trying to appeal to a wider demographic, and they are going to lose viewership instead.

The only thing surprising about any of this is that some of you are actually surprised by this.

Not surprised. Hopefully it just motivates this team that much more.

The NFL needs to adopt the College targeting rule. It would end all of this crap on the hits. If the NFL is truly concerned with player safety they would do it.

I would be cool with the targeting rule as soon as they hold the offensive players equally accountable for the outcome of the collisions.

Defenders path and strike zone is to the chest area and the offensive players ducks into that, call the offensive player that actually created the helmet to helmet contact. Then the rule is somewhat reasonable.

It is complete BS to hold the defender solely accountable for the outcome of every collision.
