If they could work fast, he’d lose his appeal AFTER the Miami game. 8-)

Exactly what I was hoping for, because I never expected him to get more than 1 game.

But I also agree they won't keep him out of the biggest game of the season so far. So either they come back really quickly, or don't decide until after the PIT game.

Not sure how it works, but they might be taking a little bit of a risk here. If I was Belicheat, I'd say take your suspension against MIA so we know you'll be available for PIT. I think this appeal is entirely unwinnable, any way.

His appeal will be decided this week. They always are when they're one game.

Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski will appeal his one-game suspension, per source.

Shame the appeal can’t raise the penalty. Truly a joke. But Goodell hates the Pats, right.

Ludicrous.

Albert Haynesworth suspended 5 games for a similar act... and that was before all the concern for head-injuries and defenseless players.

B2b....haynesworth was a long-time bad actor, on and off the field. Gronk has had no record at all. No way was he getting suspended more than one game.

After seeing the play the first thing I thought of is if "The Gronk" is going to donate his brain for CTE research like his predecessor.

Gronk is a whining pussy. Spoiled motherfucker. He was frustrated that he was manhandled the whole game and the refs just ignored poor little gronky.

Now he wants to appeal a suspension over an act that was clearly 1. illegal. 2. intended to hurt a defenseless player. 3. Obvious to everybody it was a cheap shot garnering at LEAST a one game suspension.

He sounds like somebody else that likes to invent their own reality and skip responsibility and accountability.

Yeah right. Fuck you gronk.

That was one of the most egregious dirty hits in league history. Player was lying on the ground and Gronkowski wound up and hit him with a haymaker which caused a concussion. So what is to stop a team, say in the AFC Championship game from sending in a lesser player with the instruction to knock Brady out of the game. Precident says it’s a one game suspension. Well worth a trip to the SB.

I'm thinking of good candidates for the job. Mike Mitchell? He's been known to arrive late, after plays are already over.

In keeping with the theme of the NFL's messed up disciplinary proceedings:
Quote:
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith was suspended four games by the NFL on Monday for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances, the league announced.

Smith will not appeal the suspension and he will be begin serving it immediately. Since he suffered a season-ending torn Achilles tendon in Sunday's win over the Detroit Lions, Smith will be eligible to serve out the suspension while injured. He will be eligible to play in next year's 2018 season opener.

Seriously? What a harsh punishment....

And I guess this explains Smith's resurgence this year.
