Not sure id go that far but hes up there. I'll repeat he reminds me a lot of Jerry Rice in that hes not the biggest or fastest, but hes the most precise route runner, extremely dedicated to his craft, wont get outworked, catches everything and can take any catch to the house. Oh, and they both have/had 1st ballot HOF QBs to work with.

Antonio Brown is the best WR of the last 20 years.

He's better than Moss, T.O., all of them.

Randy Moss and T.O. were other worldly in terms of size and speed. They were also shitheads who put themselves before their teams and ultimately hurt their own production. It's a bit of a stretch to say that AB is better than them, but I'd rather have him on my team.

True but to be fair, the backup QBs were awful.

Not sure if they mentioned it last night, but he went over the 700 catch mark with his 10 catches and is 600 yards shy of 10,000, which he may hit this year.
Tho he may be sitting out last week of season or used very little and we may go a little more run heavy down the stretch, if we come across cold, windy, bad weather.

Can guesstimate that with 6 more games to the season, AB will be about
740 for 9,950 - 13.4 avg, 60 TD thru his age 29 season

Thru their age 29 season the following guys had........

Jerry Rice
526 - 9,072 - 17.2, 93 TD Had off the charts production age 31 - 34 seasons, played till he was 42)

AB does have the work ethic to play into his mid to late 30's

Randy Moss
676 - 10,700 - 15.8, 101 TD ( only 3 good seasons after age 30 )

TO
512 - 7,470 - 14.5, 72 TD

These three all had alot more TD's by their age 29 season.

AB has a long way to go before he starts approaching these guys overall career numbers.

When the season ends, AB's 5 year run of production may be unmatched in NFL history.

Regular season.

I saw what Fitzgerald did in the Cards ps run.

I saw what Boldin did in the Ravens ps run.

What those guys did in the ps (a higher league) was in another realm.

So was, frequently, the play of their QBs.

I just can't separate WR from QB play.

How clean and well sold was the route and how well placed the ball. How do you separate that stuff?

I agree.

I love AB, just to be clear. He's a BAMF. Would love to see him get a ring.

It's like, even when it seems you're not taking shots at Ben, you're taking shots at Ben.

Regardless, I don't think AB is the best WR in the past two decades.

AB maybe Top 10 in the past 20 years.

Pretty happy that Mike Wallace spurned that contract offer.

Lit will blow Tomlin like a Hoover, but he doesn't like him much Roethlisberger.

Weird.

I am not and never will be a Ben hater. Guy played lights out last night. Hope he keeps it up and makes me look more stupid than I already do. I began carping on Ben when the home road play began to diverge widely. And he did not play his best ball at all the first half of the season. I number among folks who are very nervous that his physical ability has regressed. Sure didn't look that way last night.

I make no secret of detesting the notion that Ben makes AB. Not sure that pointing out that stellar WR play requires good play from the QB is taking a shot at Ben. If anything, it suggests Ben is instrumental to ABs success. Look again at my response to Havoc's post.

Come on now. You've said Ben looks done often this season. Doesn't mean you don't like Ben.

I think Tomlin gets too little credit on the board is all.

And there are some who will do anything other than blame Ben for anything.

Tomlin's got his worts for sure, but reading a lot of the cooments about him on here, you'd be forgiven for thinking people were referring to Marvin Lewis or something.

I sure did, because he HAS looked done.

I blame Roethlisberger plenty when he deserves it.

I detest Tomlin because I know what's coming.

HUGE cushions vs. New England's receivers and run, run, pass when we're down 15.

That's why my avatar is a tribute to Mikey T.

Brown’s eighth catch of the night was the 700th of his career and he reached that mark in fewer games than any other player in NFL histoy. It was Brown’s 111th game and the previous record belonged to Marvin Harrison, who did it in 114 games and wound up in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

It wouldn’t surprise anyone if Brown, who is closing in on becoming the first player with five straight 100-catch seasons, joins Harrison there

Are we saying Daunte Cullpepper was Joe Montana and Steve Young in Minnesota?

I haven't gone back to look, but Moss maybe played one season with a HOF QB. AB has played every season with one. Same with Jerry Rice.

It's true was Lit says - you can't really separate QB from WR -- the production of the WR is determined by the quality of the QB.

Antonio Brown 10 games in 2017:
70 receptions, 1026 yards, 6 TDs

AB is quickly creeping up on Hines Ward all-time Steelers records for receptions and yards, having already surpassed my guy John Stallworth.

Chris Collinsworth said that he tried for 10 years to do a helmet catch in practice & AB with game tension made it look like child's play last night. I just have 1 game jersey - the one that I bought in AB's rookie season - 84.

Yeah, but he didn't have Ben throwing the ball :D

AB's hands are about as good as I've ever seen - like magnets covered in glue. Catches probably 95% of whatever hits his hands regardless of how tough a catch.

I'd say AB has more upside than most, maybe all, with an elite QB, the ones who can really utilize those great hands in tight windows. But he also has more downside with a lesser QB that can't hit those tight windows on time.

It's true though. AB would be hugely productive with guys like Stafford, Dalton, Tannehill... he's a transcendent talent and makes any QB he plays with better. Landry Jones is arguably not even NFL quality. I mean, if he's cut tomorrow does he get signed to another team's 53? I don't think so.
