Cowher did this in 1995, as Chan Gailey called the plays while Ron Erhardt became a spectator.

Won't happen again this time, though.

This is the problem with your kind of trolling.

Because eventually subtle gets old for you, so you have to get more and more overt to try and get a rise out of anybody.

Really not trolling with this... The concept here is any scenario involving the subtraction of Tomlin, will be a positive for the team. Even if Haley were the one taking his place.

Anyone read the article claiming Haley is on the hot seat and his days on the Steeler sidelines could be numbered?

I thought it was at least interesting it was out there.

I did, but didn't give much give it much weight until I saw the source. It was one of dudes on Ben's radio show. Can't remember his name, but I'd imagine they talk shop during commercial breaks when Ben doesn't need a filter.

Ben has been taking shots at Haley on the record, I'd love to be a fly on the wall behind closed doors.

A few weeks ago during Tomlin interview Steelers pregame radio they brought up the subject of making a coaching change to Tomlin during the season. Asked him what it would take for him to do it. It surprised me and they didn't let him off easy. Pressed him on it a little.

Tomlin's answer was predictable. He has never considered it and It would take something off the field for him to do it.

Fillaponi has no sources and Ben, at the end of his career, likely has no stroke to get Haley fired.

I dare you to pick of fan from 31 NFL teams and find out how many of them would trade their guy for Mike Tomlin. I'm guessing about 25+ would.
