It’s going to be a little uncomfortable watching this team going forward knowing the HoF QB and OC want to beat each other’s asses. Oh, and that the HC doesn’t have the authority to reel anyone in or make a coaching change. Fucking mess this team is, a 7-2 mess, but still a mess.

And don't forget that moron Danny Smith. 7-2 team with a lot of issues internally.

This doesn’t mean I think Mark Madden is good at anything, but this morning his article references the fact that prior to Sunday, Steelers were 7-14 in their last 21 when they were favored on the road.

I know we all argue on here about whether Tomlin & Co. is bad against bad teams on the road, or if that concept is bullshit, but how can you argue with 7-14 in the last 21 when favored on the road?

And the talk about this being a “trap game”; where is that coming from? I don’t think Tomlin is getting the boys together after practice and talking about Indy being a “trap game”, but I think it is an indication of how undisciplined and full of themselves this team is. They aren’t focused on the task at hand, buy into the media too much, etc. That is 100 percent on coaching.

Ben said Haley wanted to kick the extra point after the botched 2 point call and delay of game but Tomlin overruled him. Ben also said he shot down Haley’s play call on that 3rd and 2 pass to Martavis Bryant at the end of the game. Ben is not shy about taking credit for the big plays where he made the call. Clearly he and Haley don’t see eye to eye. I wonder if the team has the balls to make a coaching change after the season. Doubtful but needed

Thats a great recipe for missing out on home field advantage, first round bye, traveling for a wild card game, not having week 17 off to rest, needing to win last game to get in, needing help to get in ...... or missing the playoffs all together.

Let's not kid ourselves. The dumbass Rooneys like the status quo. The record looks good and they are putting cash in his pocket - that's all that matters! They don't care about winning a Lombardi - that would just be extra icing on the cake and maybe some pretty decorations too. Otherwise, how do explain not seeing there is a problem with this offence and that ReTood doesn't know how to gameplan, adjust, and call Redzone plays that will put 7 on the board? Hell, it's all over the media and talked too often about how this offence is stale and unsuccessful in the redzone.

Really? Mommy slapped jr at the dinner table and all daddy can do is ask for the mashed potatoes because he's not jrs real dad? This isn't a reality show. The problem with having mic access during a game is fans blow up the shit they hear. Yet no one on this board is acknowledging how we actually got to hear Tomlin getting all up in the ref's ear legitimately about the "forward progress was stopped" fumble call- which was total BS. The guy was on the way to the ground not being stood up. The "in the moment" stuff that no one involved in the situation cares about after the 2 point try, let alone after the game.

IMO 90% of the stuff (good and bad) that is going on with this offense has to do with Ben. We can quibble over play calling all we want. But when Ben woke up and went back to being Ben- the game got easier.

Teams that are a mess arent 7-2. The Giants are a mess, the Browns are a mess, heck the Broncos are a mess. Steelers aren't a mess and Haley cussing at Ben isnt drama.

There have always been the critics that will argue its too late to change now and or Bens window is too small to start from scratch.
I believe we are at scratch.
So a new OC come Thursday is not going to happen.
We look like shit again on Thursday, we have 10 days to give the headset to a new guy and turn this offense into what it should be.

I'd like to see the big balls to remove him after Thursday night's game.

You don’t even need to change the system. There are plays in Haley’s playbook that work, that attack. You need to change the playcaller.

Careful, Veritas. You're challenging a very well-established and intractable mantra here, with your fact-based posting and results-oriented thinking.

We aren't beating NE or other playoff teams with that grab bag pull and pray shit Haley is trotting out there.

He was on the other end of Ben's (football acumen) many times, now we want Ben to be cuckolded because Haley is what????

A golfer, a son of a coach, who never played.

Fucking dynamite this asshole already

Ben was never one to criticize in public...until a few years ago. He's increasingly saying more and more about Haley, so you can only guess how bad it actually had to be to get to this point.

This is not your normal family squabbles or in the heat-of-the-moment type stuff....this is drama you just don't see between your OC and QB. You just don't see the OC publicly criticized, almost weekly now, by the QB.

Oddly enough, Ben not throwing the ball great could be saving Haley's job. If Ben were playing better I have a feeling he might have exploded by now.

Careful, Kodiak. According to Malba and Veritas, this is completely normal and really the sign of a great team is measured in how often the coaches and players are screaming at each other. What’s going to be the excuse this year when Bill B. hangs a forty-burger on the Steelers with guys named Rex Burkhead and James Develin catching passes?

Yeah, some people rather beat up an agenda'd dead horse than to feast on freshly killed road win

Anyone seen the poster Sir William Pitt the Elder?

I enjoyed his insight.

Hey....I'm just glad that Tomlin overruled Haley and stuck with going for two. THAT is but one example of the kind of shit I've been talking about; it's absolutely the HC's call to make. I just wish he would extend it to some of Haley's play-calling, not necessarily calling the play itself, but telling the OC to run...or to pass....when a certain situation presents itself....like 2nd & 19.

All that said....thinking Haley is gone from this team mid-season, is wishful thinking by many of you....ain't happening.

Is this a normal thing for other teams, or an excuse?

Is the excuse for Thursday going to be because of a short week?

Sir William Pitt the Elder might suggest a duel between Haley and Ben

I detest Tomlin, no mystery there, but commend him big time for stepping in and trying to tie the game there. But why is there even that big of a disconnect between he HC, OC and QB?

But I thought Tomlin’s greatest quality is that he is a motivator of men?
