Deebe pressuring smith changed everything - he is so strong that move around the tackle is near impossible to stop

He was missing those receivers because the relentless pass rush got to him-- pressure is Alex Smith's kryptonite.

Indeed...and so my only question is why towards the end of the game (not the very last drive, but the last couple before it), Butler was only sending three and dropping eight.

That pissed me off.

They played a zone to give KC the middle of the field so they would burn clock. Not sure of the Color man in the broadcast ( Romo?) but he was right in that the Steelers gave them 2 completions then dialed up the pressure.

Thanks for that. I wondered.

I'll continue to hope that Deebo (or anyone) sacks Marsha Brady and breaks his fuckin leg sending him into retirement.

Yeah, did not think he was on the field alot.
Posted earlier in this thread that I would have guessed around 18.

Still don't think James saw much more than 20 snaps.
If that. I would guess 18 snaps.

20-24 snaps a game makes sense.
Knowing he could do 30 or more if needed.

Bud? Bud is at least getting pressure. Watt hasn't done a whole lot since he hurt his groin.

True, I had to go look because I haven't heard his name much since that first week...

And he has been pretty quiet since CLE, although he did have 6 tackles and a sack against JAX...so two strong games, 2 pretty quiet ones and 2 really quiet/injured. All-in-all, maybe a decent but not great start.

I think TJ has a big second half of the year. And I think with Harrison they may go to a 3-man rotation at OLB. Pretty happy with the defense if everyone can stay healthy. Even VWill is quietly having a pretty good year.

Watt is still playing well. Fundamentally sound and always around the ball. What's the expectation here? 2 sacks, 10 tackles a game? My eyeball test says he's still performing well. I'll defer to steelclan.
