Bryant was never consistent. When he was, he was a superstar. And now it looks as if he is taking time getting his act back together.

But he's been wide open 3 times...twice for easy TDs. It would help if Ben didn't miss him by a country mile when he he was.

He may need to get stoned and think about it for a while.

He's just rusty and the offense as a whole has as well.

We're heading into Wk6. How much longer can we use this as an excuse?

It's not an excuse, it's a fact. This team isn't on the same page and haven't been because of the dumbfuckery at training camp.

I was always afraid that we were overaging MB. Remember, in college this guy was always Robin to someone else’s Batman.

If you watch the big go route from Sunday, he was severely arm barred the whole route. I think it should have been called! It definitely moved him laterally about 4-5 yards. Like a sideways wind on an airplane. The ball landed to his left too. I believe it was a perfectly thrown ball.

Bryant missed a long time and the rhythm isn't there with Ben -- missed some deep throws
that. and this offense does him zero favors. shit we can get mike Wallace to run two deep routes a game. he should be used as more than a pot luck shot down the field once or twice. they need to throw him a few short runs and most definitely have him cut off some deep runs for intermediate throws as IMO he would be open constantly there. teams are doubling brown and keying bell -- using Bryant for only deep balls seems foolish

A few more thoughts...

Bryant in the playoff game vs Broncos without AB on the field...

2 CAR 40 Yds
9 REC 154 Yds 17.1 AVG

I thought he could be a dynamic #2 WR for us. I never viewed him as a guy I would want as a #1 WR due to his many flaws.

But it seems he is now in a freefall off a cliff.

Thought the same thing while watching and with replay. I have been unable to make up my mind whether I'm just a huge homer, but sure looked like a flag.

BUT, this goes to another knock on MB, namely, that he does not fight enough for contested balls. If that were AB, AB would've been selling the hell out of the arm bar while trying to get the ball. AB simply has the presence of mind and talent. Total package. Did MB fight enough to make the arm bar more obvious? Could he have done more? Only saw it the once.

If we dont win a Lombardi this year Id trade AB and roll with JuJu and Bryant.

AB probably gets a 1 and 3. Maybe more.
Id also get rid of DD. Hes probably worth a 2.

And get some big bodies who can make a difference in the redzone

Added bonus for AB if he goes to a team with competent coaches and talent. Probably actually win a ring before he retires. Not looking good if he stays, right now. So your suggestion could be a win-win.
