In an effort to get a first down or two late, on 2nd and 12 Ben launches a deep pass to a well covered Brown. AB went up and got it. He was the game MVP...insane concentration on a number of tipped passes, etc

My question is this....leading 21-18 with around 3 minutes left, isn't that a really risky throw by Ben?

I remember thinking "glad that wasn't picked" when it happened. Granted it all worked out, but did any of you question that throw or do you feel Ben and AB were in sync there?

AB had the hot hand. Ben scrambling in the backfield usually results in some crazy Ben+Brown sync stuff.

I don't question anytime Ben decides to throw it up to AB.

Unless Brown is going up against the dreaded quintuple coverage, then I may have some room for complaint.

But in all seriousness, Ben has come through in god knows how many of those situations before. You've got to trust if he's going deep in that spot he's got a pretty good idea it's a good move.

It's not like this team is a 3rd-and-short conversion machine (assuming Ben even had a checkdown for short gain there).

If that gets picked, usually as good as a punt. When everyone on offense is stepping on their dick, you give your playmakers a chance to make plays. And that's what Ben and AB did.

I thought it was a bad decision...bad pass....and lucky catch.....surrounded by 3 Browns....it really underlines the total whatthefuckness of this offense being that was the best (only?) option in the 4minute offense

Ben's pass to Santonio to win SB XLIII....into triple coverage, right? Could have been picked, right?

I never questioned it when thrown....was just hoping we weren't facing a 3rd & 12 from our 18, up only 3, with more than 2 min left.

I'll take Ben's risks. He Threaded the Needle a few times this game. That First TD to Outlaw was a tiny window.

Tiny??? Yep...as in, he threw that ball through the eye of a needle. Very few QBs can make that throw...even some of the Greatest Of All Time...
