The HaleyBall offense tries desperately to score 30 or less points. This can be difficult when you have anywhere from 2 to 4 of the top 5 to 10 offensive players in the nfl. However they have excelled at times. In the past 5 years including playoffs the HaleyBall Steelers have only scored more than 30 18 times. 86 games. Only 18 over 30. More than 79 percent of the time they (under?)achieve their goal of keeping things close and keeping the game within shooting distance to all but the most inept.

I think YET AGAIN winning a Lombardi with this totallly unique in nfl history approach will come down the RB position, as ive maintained every single brutal year of the 5 year existence of HaleyBall.

Hopefully this team heeds my advice and goes 5 deep at RB, particularly including Watson and Williams along with Conner Nix and Bell.

They must do MUCH MUCH better than the total bs theyve shortchanged the RB position with the last 5 years under HaleyBall.

For this to happen all the stars have to be aligned and the Steelers can't play certain teams or it will look like it did last year. The Patriots made it look far too easy as they scored at will. Atlanta would have smoked this team and I'm pretty sure there would have been no history making second half 24 point comeback in the books. Good luck!

For the last 50 some odd years, how many SBs have the Steelers won without the #1 defense in football?

How we do on the orher side of the ball, beyond the health of our most important players, will be a hell of a lot more important than all the focus on Haley.

If you change haleyball to tomlinball, this actually makes sense.

He's a troll, but he has a point. They do not come out aggressive and don't stay aggressive for 60 Minutes with all that talent. They should probably be in the 2 minute drill the whole game. And if they're up 2 scores be desperate for another TD. But that's never been their "Way".

How about the SB we won under Tomlin's reign:

Warner: 31/43 377 yards 3 TDs
Fitzgerald 7 rec, 127 yards, 2 TDs

Our pass D still sucked.

If not for one of the greatest catch/throws in SB history, and the greatest single defensive play in SB history (Harrison 14pt turn-around), who know's how we would be remembering that game.

All of the players on that team, luckily still retained Cowher's years of instruction.

You mean the shit they learned in 2006, when they displayed some of the worst football in the history of the franchise? When they were a bottom feeder defense?

Also, Timmons, Woodley, Harrison, and Gay were arguably three of the best defenders they had that year and the defense was the best in football. What did they remember from Cowher's reign? Harrison remembered being cut, playing the wing on punt coverage, and sitting on the bench, I'm sure.
