Yes, because surely Holba would have been snapped up before the end of the draft.

Just curious how many other teams used a draft choice on a long snapper this year.

Just a few drafts past Pats spent a 5th rounder on a long snapper.

Yeah I'm fine with the pick. If they want to use a 6th rounder on a guy who will be there for the next 12 years or so, fine by me.

My original beef with it was if they kept Warren over him, it'd be a complete waste of a pick.

Seriously. Did you actually think anybody in their sane mind would take draft pick for shits and giggles? Did anyone actually think the steelers organization would be that stupid?

Could be.

Did they have the same feeling about Ladarius Green?

I have my doubts.

5 long snappers drafted in last 10 years.
08. 09 and
1 each in last 3 drafts.

So fairly rare then. Most teams obtain their long snapper through other means. What I thought.

A blog by someone named Rodger Sherman on SBNation is justification for burning a draft choice on a long snapper. Yeah, sure.

Tell me, which round did the Steelers draft Greg Warren?
