6foot 7 undrafted, unsigned, skinny as a beanpole, slow and plodding route runner = seem splitter lock for the practice squad.

OTA tweets...

Seeing it was a 'minor' pull in rookie minicamp but has held him out of the first 2 days of OTA's.
Quote:
James Conner is currently sidelined after suffering minor hamstring pull during the team's minicamp, according to Mark Kaboly of DKPittsburghSports. Conner has been inactive during the Steelers' first two OTA sessions. http://pit.247sports.com/Bolt/Report-Ja ... l-52884619

Steelers DE Stephon Tuitt had surgery on his hand and is not practicing, a source said. Not likely to affect him in regular season. https://twitter.com/EdBouchette/status/ ... 1084015616
Wondering if they'll have a deal struck with Tuitt before the season starts. Be SBI.

CB Senquez Golson, Steelers no. 2 pick in 2015, has not played in two years because of injuries. He's healthy now, practicing, up 12 pounds https://twitter.com/EdBouchette/status/ ... 7422339072
Like to see Golson come out this season and shock the football world. Take it by storm and play at an all pro level, But I know that's too much to hope for. So, I humbly hope he'll just stay healthy enough to make the 53 and actually take the field on defense and play. Not even start. Just play. Gotta get some kind of return from this guy. Steelers really have to do a lot more thorough research (before drafting or signing in FA) on these players and their injury historys.

Golson was 5ft9 176 at the combine. For comparison sake Troy at SS was 5ft10 206.

If Golson truly is....up 12 pounds....that would be 188...not outta line at CB.

Colbert has spoken MANY TIMES about drafting guys to...grow into their body. Hopefully Senquez has added bone and muscle mass.

For all the hell Zivco got there is more than a little something to be said for wrist circumfrence

Hopefully Golson can fully recover from his Lisfranc Sx...some don't. Love to hear he's added 12 pounds of muscle. It should make him more durable. To me, he's a better (albeit 2" shorter) version of Cam Sutton. He has elite ball skills, something our DBs desperately need. Adding the weight shows me he's been able to work and is 100% almost 10 months out from his Sx and he'll be 13 months out when the season starts. He should have a very good grasp of our defense, time to show it on the field now. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Pecking order to start...

At outside CB: Burns & Cockrell with Sensabaugh-Sutton-Allen the first backups
At slot CB: Gay, with Golson running 2nd
At WR: AB & Bryant running with the 1s

Nothing unexpected...
