Agree Scunge - thanks for doing the work here.

And to your point Perch, I would disagree with the high and short helps us. I live in fear (not quite, but you know what I mean) of when we "out kick our coverage" - that's when something really bad happens. Any maybe we just have unusually bad return defense to go with the poor return offense. But there is some reason for the cliche, and I do feel like we're not the only team responsible for it.

I think the Steelers have a pervasive long held idea from the top down that STs arent REAL football and therefore they devote less to it.


Teamwide, but it shows up particularly in their stance on backups, I think the Steelers value well coached up try hard talent over more athletic talent that has a less than perfect approach to every detail. When a David Johnson gets a roster spot over a Phazon Odom across an entire roster it shows up on STs

There's one big reason why Brown has been the main punt returner and will likely remain so...he doesn't put the ball on the ground.
