3.) Cam Sutton CB
3C.) James Conner RB (He wouldn't have made it to us in 4th and I wanted him)
4.) Jordan Leggett TE
5.) Xavier Woods S

On an off note I found it interesting that in the latter portions of the draft(round 5-7) the ACC had by far the most players chosen. Not a surprise that the SEC led the way for the first four rounds followed by the PAC 10 and the BIG10 but I wonder why the drop off for those conferences compared to the ACC?

umm, perhaps it's because more of the top ACC players were still on the board once the later rounds went down... :?

As to why, I reckon that's up to individual speculation...

1. TJ watt
2. Alvin Kamara
3. Brendan Langley
3b. RayShawn Jenkins
4. Chad Hansen
5. Nate Gerry (as nickel ILB)
6. Elijah Qualls
7. Chad Kelly

I believe RB is a bigger need than most and I think Kamara is the best overall back in the draft. I prefer the draft an outlier athlete approach at CB each year, unless you get stupid value, like Revis.

1. TJ Watt OLB Wisconsin
Still think Watt is the right guy for this pick. He's got so much upside and if he becomes half the player his brother is then this is well worth the 1st round pick.

2. Juju Smith-Schuster WR USC
There were a lot of players that went just before this pick that I would have taken but that's against the rules. Smith-Schuster is incredibly young (only 20) so he still has time to work and develop. The Steelers have done well with WRs so I'm taking their evaluation on him.

3. Cordrea Tankersley CB Clemson
I think Tankersley can become just as good as anyone in this draft and would have been a good pairing with Artie Burns.

3. Eddie Jackson SAF Alabama
Been saying that this guy has been overlooked, I like the fact that he's a rangy safety with great hands....something this team lacks.

4. Jake Butt TE Michigan
If not for an injury he goes no later than Round 2, total package guy at TE.

5. Caleb Brantley DT Florida
This Gator is an undeniable talent who would have been gone in the top 40 picks if this domestic violence charge wasn't dangling over his future.

6. Elijah Lee ILB Kansas State
I don't Lee ever develops into a starter, but it gives the Steelers a much better athlete at LB over Matakevich, Vince Williams and the other career backups we have on the roster.

7. Keion Adams OLB Western Michigan
I liked this pick late, he has natural bend around the edge and looks like he could provide more athleticism to the LB unit.

This looks like the "drive Ben into retirement sooner" draft! He would not have been very happy, that's for sure!
