I love the Adams pick. Watch his film. He's great off the edge and he attacks the QBs and RBs with violence. His motor is always going.

I don't see why people say he's too small to play OLB. His measurables are below. He's a former basketball player with very good feet. He's got to work on his bull rush and his run defense, but as a pass rush specialist and special teamer, he can make this team. Great pick.

Here are his Pro Day stats from March:

Keion Adams -- Defensive end
Height: 6’ 2”
Weight: 247 pounds
Hand: 9.5 inches
Wingspan: 78.25 inches
Bench press: 27 x 225 pounds
Vertical jump: 36 inches
Broad jump: 10 feet, 4 inches
40 time: 4.68 seconds
Short 20 shuttle: 4.35 seconds
60 yard shuttle: 11.12 seconds

Not to mention 27 reps at 225 is strong as fuck. Edit: would have tied for most by a LB at combine.

Franco, I watched some Adams vids last night and quickly became optimistic. Couldn't understand the consternation about the pick. Seems well worth a 7th round flyer, it seems. Then again, I had high hopes for that Miami kid last year they picked up late....we'll see.

Yup. He has explosive numbers. The 36" vertical and big wingspan are great as well. Obviously his level of competition wasn't the SEC, but he has the tools and motor.

I came into this draft wanting at least 2 edge rushers. You can never have enough. I hope the kid can make the team on special teams and go from there.

Keion Adams is probably not quite powerful enough nor bendy enough to be an elite EDGE rusher- he does have a very good first step. I think he's much better suited to be the backup to Shazier and they ought to train him that was from the outset. He could really contribute as a blitzing off-ball LB.

I think most of the consternation on this board was the long snapper pick in the 6th.

I like the Adam's pick. I was hoping they double dipped at pass rusher.

Can you break down your Ju Ju rating?

In such a deep draft class regarding the WR position. I in my humble non-professional opinion I believe he would have gone later. Perhaps not the end of the 3rd but later than 62 overall. While the Boldin comparisons are projections I agree he is similar. That said, think about how deep the 2003 draft was regarding WR's. Not very deep. Certainly not as deep as the 2017 draft was. Boldin was drafted 54th overall in a draft there was very little depth. An average athlete, average ability with slightly above average ball skills in a very deep WR class draft equals A reach in the 2nd RND. That's IF (huge if) the Boldin comparison is accurate. Remember JMO. I will obviously root for Schuster to have a better career than anyone he's being compared to. SBI

Fair enough. I just thought the C was interesting. He's one of the few most agree will be an impact player right away.
