http://www.espn.com/blog/pittsburgh-steelers/post/_/id/23351/how-steelers-bud-dupree-trains-for-defensive-mvp-season

"Former NFL defensive end Chuck Smith, a pass-rush coach out of the Atlanta area, has high praise for his client, Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker Bud Dupree, telling CBS Sports he's a potential Defensive Player of the Year winner."

This should be Dupree's breakout season if there's going to be one. I'm optimistic.

Article that is worth posting twice.

CT by now you know I am not busting balls...I really appreciate you hunting down stuff and posting it. That goes for all of you who make this board better.

I probably should have checked the edge rusher thread.

The CBS article you posted is actually much better.

Toss that article in here. Well worth it. Has more meat than the ESPN.

Very encouraging to hear Dupree is putting the work in. Most of the guys who reach this level have some degree of physical tools.

Heart & work ethic is what gets the cream to rise to the top. And/or allow those to remain once they reach it.

A guy like Lamar Woodley comes to mind in terms of a player who rested on their laurels.

An improving Dupree along with Tuitt, Hargrove, and Heyward are nice pieces.

Now we need to find the Lloyd to pair with Greene (Dupree)...

Spot on! I long for the days of the Blitzburgh Steelers wreaking havoc on opposing QB's and watching Lloyd and Greene was a special time. I'm ALL for Dupree and _____(fill in the blank) to replicate those days!

On a shittier note, if/when that other side is filled out with a stud QB rushing beast to pair with Bud, we won't be able to celebrate like those good old days until we search the field with baited breathe hoping for no flags first.

Maybe we should give Landry Jones a shot at the position. Can't be any worse than the last Jones we employed there.

Just bustin your chops. I know that was a typo...

A breakout year for Dupree, AND getting Heyward back...With Tuitt and Hargrave, things aren't as bad as people think (just have to figure out how to actually cover receivers).

People like to bash Jervis, deservedly so....I say Mitchell has been the worst player on defense.
