Shazier got married Fri night and even danced at the reception. While it still seems hard to believe that he could ever play in the NFL again, you can’t entirely count him out with what he has accomplished in the last 1 ½ years.

I feel the same about him that I did Troy at the end. I didn't want to see Troy take any more head shots. I don't know how many times he got up and looked unsteady towards the end. I didn't want to see him not get up at some point. Shazier got a blessing and is able to walk again. I don't think it makes any sense for him to tempt fate. The Steelers seem to love him. Bring him on as a coach to keep him in the fold.

Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied by asking, “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”
