Much rather face N.E in week one instead of week 10.
Pats usually start off the season slow.
Especially missing Gronk and other pieces from last year, hopefully takes them a couple weeks to figure it out.

Didn't they also let the lacrosse player go? I know Belichick likes to try to make spanking Tomlin somewhat of a challenge. I wonder if he'll bring in a racquetball player or two for the practice squad, promote them to the active roster for the Stillers game?

They have not. They did beat Cassel in 2008. Thank you Bernard Pollock.

My ass has been in the house for three straight losses - 1) 2013 which Lebeau's D gave up 55. 2) 2015 opener which started out promising but then Tomlin and Haley got cute, and 3) 2016 AFCCG where Ben was the only Steeler to show up.

That schedule looks brutal. It's only April so who knows. My early prediction is that the 2nd Browns game will be flexed back to 1 after Cleveland falls apart.
Also can see 10 wins.

I see 15-1, 14-2 worst case scenario

Tomlin wins SB

He is extended until he reaches 75 years old

Seems like we play the Ravens on a short week every year. Road Thursday game after a late Sunday game. MNF after a bye week is dumb too.

That is a brutal brutal schedule.

I mean right now- 1-5 before the bye would be real possible.

I know things will likely look different come September, but damn!

Second half a tad easier but the NFL schedule makers screw us with 5 of 7 on the road.

5 of the last 7 on the road seems unfair...but hey, Tomlin is always up for a challenge.

In 2008 we had the most difficult schedule in the league. Of course we also had a better team...

I'm not generally too impressed by the schedule's apparent difficulty in April. Come the season we'll see that some of these teams are tougher than expected and some are easier than expected and all that really matters is how good the Steelers themselves are.

Looking at that schedule, I don't think we'll play a playoff team after week 9.

Rams will crash and burn this year as Goff flops, the rest of that will have to be one of the easiest finishes in the league despite the road games. I'd rather have road games later since Tomlin usually has us peaking by that point in the year.

I had us a 9-7 last year. Still waiting to see how the draft shakes out, but I'm seeing double digit wins barring health. Bring it on.

Here's what pops out to me:

Sept. 8 at New England Patriots 8:20 PM NBC
Sept. 15 Seattle Seahawks 1:00 PM FOX
Sept. 22 at San Francisco 49ers 4:25 PM CBS
Sept. 30 Cincinnati Bengals (Mon.) 8:15 PM ESPN
Oct. 6 Baltimore Ravens 1:00 PM CBS

That's 4/5 teams who run the ball as much as anyone in the league. Cincy isn't far behind. Our run defense is going to be tested right out of the box.

Watching the NFL Network schedule release special - their computer models have us going 7-9...

I'm curious how they got to that

Funny how the league avoided putting us on SNF against the Pats the past two seasons when he had home field. Now it's the Great Dynasty TEAM vs Team Turmoil. Yeah that'll sell.

This is a frickin' gift. We're going to lose to NE anyway.....but now PIT can lay one less turd to a bottom feeder while Tomlin eases into the season with Ben playing himself into game shape.

It's basically an extra preseason game for us

Schedule really matters not with this current staff.

Tomlin eases into seasons. Whether we play the Pats or Podunk State U is a crap shoot. Playing the Pats might actually force the staff to be on point.

We are not a 1 or 2 seed with Tomlin most years even though we could have or should have been.

So assume regardless of schedule we will most likely be a wildcard or miss the playoffs entirely. That is the standard.

We do more and it is a bonus.

So regardless of schedule we will most likely find ourselves playing wildcard weekend. Or not.

Getting a bye is icing and at that point the hope is to not get our asses handed to us by a team with zero shot of going much further.

That is what this staff has “put on tape”.

Would love to be proven wrong.

If i'm gonna play the Seahawks, I want them home @ 1pm early in the year. That's a favor. Like perch alluded, I never understood the MNF after a bye...League schedules that often.

I see a slow start and bad press and "see they need the 2 turds" talk in media for first 2 months. Then 2nd half domination.

Thinking 11-5 hinging on MNF with the dolphins. May not lose after the bye unless they're sitting players week 17. Dolphins and Colts are unexpected blowout wins at home.

Going to be a fun season. Don't know if it's SB bound, but its exciting.

This team stinks on the west coast, so 3 losses there. Pats game is a loss. Will probably split with Ravens and Browns. Colts Rams and Seahawks will be tough but at home, so I'll say we go 2-1 with those.

9-7 seems like a good bet, but Tomlin keeps his streak and Rooney's appoint him to the iron thone

The only way I’d fear the Seahawks at home, is if they trade for Mike Glennon.
All kidding aside, they really are a “meh” type of team. Russell Wilson is a nice QB, but he hasn’t really advanced much past what he was earlier in his career. And Pete Carroll is Tomlin West Coast...known more for his PCs and sideline antics than coaching ability.

And for calling a passing play when you were in Beast Mode to win the SB

Dumb fuck
