Word on these NFL streets is that Antonio Brown wants $18M-$20M per year on a new deal. Yikes. Good luck with that. What a mess

Makes me think this was about the money all along. AB isn’t smart enough to orchestrate an elaborate ruse, but Rosenhaus is. They essentially got to shop the free agent market one year into a four year contract to see what they can get. If it’s nothing, who says they can’t come back here and play. Having the ability to scare teams off of a trade while being able to talk contract figures is unprecedented. Actually impressive. Won’t be surprised if nobody is willing to pay the money he wants, trade never happens, and Steelers are stuck with him.

If Rooney had balls or brains he’d end this now. AB said he was unhappy and wanted traded, they found a partner and he shot it down. In reality he just wanted to shop for a new contract. Time to go public with him being off the market and play hardball. If he wants to sit out, send the $11 million signing bonus back. Fuck him.

Oh I don’t know. I think AB believes he’s bigger than the Steelers, the nfl, planet earth etc. In his mind 20M year plus the rest of your teams salary cap in guarantees, that’s nothing for a genaberational talent like mr big chest. Each team oughta pay AB every year just to see his smile.

I’m still thinking retirement is my preferred scenario

Would it surprise anyone if this was 'leaked' from Steelers HQ? Or 'sources' linked to Steelers HQ? Wouldn't be surprising to me at all.

If he tells a team he won't report, they won't trade for him. So he literally gets to dictate where he goes by making the team that would have traded him not trade for him. How do you get around that?
. Basically the Steelers have him signed for 3 years and if he refuses to go to a team that the Steelers want to trade him too. Then the Steelers can say we tried you refused and now since we can't move you that benefits us you need to report to camp and if you don't you will be fined. Ballin Steelers court if they want to be

Dark runway heading towards locker room. Crowd noise in the background. A tired looking and seemingly hobbled football player slowly makes his way down the runway. A kid stares sadly at the athlete.

"Hey Mister, you okay?"

The athlete pauses and nods, then begins slowly walking again, laboring with each step.

"Mister, do you want my coke?"

The athlete again pauses. He turns around to face the kid.

The kid gasps as he sees the athlete's face. Bumps of black hair shoot out all over the scalp and a blonde mustache sits just above a shiny grill encased in a wicked smile.

Antonio Brown, slowed by the weight of a large drawstring bag over flowing with Steeler memorabilia and silverware from the mess hall, grabs the kid's coke, his hot dog, and his baseball cap, shoving them all in the bag.

"Mr. Brown?"

"That's Mr. Big Chest, to you, bitch. But hey, business is boomin, so here you go. I sure as hell don't need this shit anymore. Besides, market value has gone through the basement."

Brown tosses the kid his Steeler Jersey and makes off with his loot.

The kid, now confused and crying, is approached by a man who either had beer poured in his lap or pissed himself.

"Hey kid, don't take it so hard. He bent me over and publicly ass raped me. I used to be Kevin Colbert."

The kid gasps again, pauses, kicks Colbert in the nuts, and runs off.

Colbert just stands there, shaking his head and holding his balls.

"A third and a fifth. I suck at life."

Yeah, that's my fear. Raiders bought him at such a low price that they could afford to move him for the right offer.

Our @AKinkhabwala just told this story on @nflnetwork.

The Steelers plane took off late for the Week 14 game in Oakland this past season because they were waiting for…want to guess?…Antonio Brown.

He showed up 25 minutes late to his own introductory press conference for the Raiders today.

Then proceeded to call himself a role model and called the Raiders GM “coach”.

You are right. Fucker likely doesn’t even carry insurance anyways.

I’d end up in some dragged out bullshit.

Apparently the contract he signed is better for the Raiders than Brown

to be fair he is not a rocket scientist. All he saw was we are going to guarantee you 30 million more. Which is a good gig if you can get it. If he were to be cut in 2 years then that is also good for him since he can sign another contract with a new team and get another 10 million dollar payout. What will fuck with him is the fact that he will basically be TO after he retires which means no endorsement deals.

If they start him on lithium soon, I think he could turn it around by his next team.

I kid, but I really think he needs help.

Good for the Raiders but it also gave AB what he wanted...more money now.

He’s not thinking 2-3 years down the line...none of these guys are.

So now AB is mad we traded him while he was sleeping. If I could make this shit up I would be put in a hospital for the safety of myself and those around me.

Quote:
You can count on Antonio Brown for doing a few things. The man burns defenders, calls out Mike Tomlin, and doesn't always make a ton of sense.

His former head coach is once again the reason why AB is mad online. Tomlin called out Brown and former teammate Le'Veon Bell, saying the team last year "talked too much" and that he didn't want hostages on the team anymore.

Brown somehow found that as an insult, calling out Tomlin for trading him while he was sleeping.

Wait, wasn't that a good thing that the Steelers did for Brown?

Brown was the one who burnt every sort of bridge on his way out of Pittsburgh. He didn't play in the last game of the season, called out both Ben Roethlisberger and Mike Tomlin on numerous occasions, and ASKED to be traded away from the Steelers. Now, he's somehow complaining that they traded him?

AB is an All-Pro caliber wideout who is one of the better players at his position and was still traded for nothing. What's the issue here?

It's incredible to hear someone complain about being traded when he asked to be dealt in the first place, but that's just Antonio Brown for you.

I've always maintained that at least half of it, if not more, was AB's need to be the guy. A psychotic-level of need for respect/attention. He won't adjust well to life without football as a platform.

Le'Veon Bell and AB not only desperately wanted to be "the guy", they had a whole league full and talking heads around the dial talking about how they, not Ben, were the two best players on the Steelers... yet the organization valued Ben's contributions more (and for damn good reason). Ben is going to be ridiculous this season. It has to be just poking the gotdamn bear for months.

Organization always values the QB more....nature of the position. You know that as well as anyone, B2B. Love all these predictions on how freakin' awesome Ben is going to be minus his primary playmakers. Guess we'll see.

I'm sorry, you just witnessed the Steelers very efficiently replace Le'Veon Bell last season and you're worried that, given an entire off-season, they're not going to be more cohesive and likely more efficient this year?

Best OL
Badass QB
Pro Bowl #1 WR
Pro Bowl RB + an even better #2
capable TE

There's not a damn thing wrong with that offensive lineup. I'll bet there's not one guy in the huddle whose energy is going to be working against the interests of the team and the interests of winning.
