Looks like the Steelers raised the practice squad salary of LB Keion Adams for the last week of the season from the standard $7600 to the 53-man roster minimum of $28,235. Could mean that somebody tried to poach him away, and they ponied up to keep him around.

That he needs to wait his turn for a roster spot behind other impact players in the LB corps like Bud, Chickillo, Dirty Red, Fort, Bostic, etc...

Thought we could have seen an influx of youth at the LB spot this past season with Ola, Keon and Matthew Thomas.

We got none of the above and more of the same.

Just a very tiny bit less than Dupree.

That's the big problem.

In the last 12 weeks of the 2018 season Adams is only 2.5 sacks behind Dupree ...

So does this make Adams the new posterboy fan favorite that takes over where Gibson and Thomas before him left off? :|

On a side note:

Awesome. More camp bodies....

Ola showed me some good stuff in the brief playing time he had during the regular season. I'm high on him.

Adams has shown me less, but he does have very nice bend on the edge and that is a quality you can't teach. You either have it or you don't. I just think he needs to get stronger in the upper body. That's what is holding him back.

As I've said in other posts, upgrading Bud is probably priority #2 on this defense right after ILB.
