Apparently Ed Bouchette was interviewed yesterday and was asked why AB wasn't playing and he had no idea as he said he was healthy. Then Randy Fichtner was really angrily short with another reporter when he was asked about Tomlin, and Randy is normally very open and friendly with the press.

Local talking heads are discussing.

Talked about it an hour ago or so on 93.7 The Fan, maybe just speculation talk radio shit. We will see.

I went to the ultimate conspiracy that he is teaming up with Bell to try to start the Lebron play in the NFL, where a couple players start to recruit a nucleus and offer it to a team.

Then I ask myself why you would ever want to leave Ben.

It would be like having celibate nymphomaniac wife, who wants to be a porn star with only you and other woman as the stars, and you ask for a divorce.

Think there's anything behind him not winning team MVP?

No AB = no SB even with Ben.

If you want to clean house top to bottom, including QB, and start a total rebuild, ok.

I doubt it, but if he’s pouting about something as trivial as that...

I think what's behind all this is likely a bunch of hot air.

AB is a competitive, honor-loving psychopath. But I don't think he's fuming over some kind of MVP snub.

At this point, maybe not as ridiculous as it sounds. But only if the house cleaning includes the HC.

Agree. By total house clean, I meant total.

Are we friends again? I promise to keep the dumb in check as much as possible.

If 93.7 The Fan is talking about it it's likely nothing.

No one on that station is good at radio so all they know how to do is stir up drama to get the type of people who listen to sports talk to call in and take up 70% of their air time.

In a vacuum, I think I would agree with you
But man you cannot state there hasn't been all kinds of drama with this team the last couple years, some of it involving AB himself

Don't discount the toxic surroundings which can impact the best of men

I get surly at times Lit...especially when I’m drinking. My wife keeps me in check in the “real” world but has no control over my SteelerFury personna.
Don’t take my assholishness personal...I’m really a nice guy. 8-)

There is drama every year on every team, it just gets magnified when losing or not making the playoffs. If you don’t have drama then there is no passion for football and winning in the locker room.

after what we saw yesterday how badly the offense struggled to really do just about anything because JuJu was getting the "AB attention" from the D, I think you could be right. That was absolutely horrible in the first half of the game.

I think we have seen that while Conner is a good young running back, he is no LeVeon Bell. Its too bad Bell will be gone but his $14.5M can be spent on a quality LB or a couple of them or an LB and a CB.

But you are spot on. AB and all the attention that he commands from the defense makes things so much easier for Ben and the rest. If AB is gone, well........lets just not think about that right now.

Ben will just make another Sanders, Holmes or Wallace. AB is HOF, but if he doesn’t cross paths with Ben he is probably just Sanders or Holmes.

I'm told AB could have played yesterday, but didn't want to. Feels underappreciated &got angry over JuJu MVP. Knee was banged up, but he could have played through it. You don't win w/guys like AB.

Where there’s smoke, there’s likely AB acting up. I honestly think he has some mental issues going on. He’s 31 years old now and the injuries are starting to pop up late in seasons. Foster, Pouncey, and Gilbert are all held together by string at this point and Ben only has a few years left. The window is down to about 2 -3 years max, then it’s a full on rebuild. Knowing Rooney, they’ll stick with Tomlin until Ben is gone and then blow the whole thing up.

Fine hypothetical, but my eyes have shown me empirical proof of how many times AB has bailed Ben out. My eyes have also shown me that AB shits on Sanders and Holmes in terms of consistent, mind bending plays. Ben apparently couldn't make Sanders or Holmes be hall of fame AB-type players.

They're both hall of famers, Ben and AB. I'm not hearing the Ben makes AB argument. I'll accept that for other receivers, but not AB. No freaking way.

This is even more reason to can Tomlin. Divas are going to Diva but let’s be honest; if a guy like Bill Belichek’s control over the locker room is a 10/10, is it that far fetched to think Tomlin’s is maybe a 3 or 4?

And I love Ben, always will, but I get the sense listening to his post game yesterday that while he may be disappointed in the result, he isn’t surprised in the least.

This is a systemic issue now. It’s coaching, it’s players, it’s team management, it’s the whole damn thing. Art2 better get going here...

Still Lit your post and mine on not mutually exclusive. I agree with everything you say. I just don’t think AB is a HOFer if he ends up on with Flacco or Red Rocket for instance.

Also if Holmes and Sanders stayed around, who knows. AB is head and shoulders above Sanders and Holmes, but without Ben, and say he ends up with Baltimore and Flacco, I just see him being talked about like Sanders in Denver. AB pushes been into first ballot territory and so did Ben throw AB into first ballot as well.
