If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result, they need a new word for what Mike Brown and Marvin Lewis have accomplished here with Cincy. Six straight losses at home to Pitt going back to 2013.

How has Marvin Lewis kept his job for as long as he has? This guy has stolen more money than all the other bad HC's combined. I guess kudos to him for fooling the Bengal's ownership into keeping him for as long as they have. He must be real convincing when speaking behind closed doors.

Not much difference between Tomlin and Belichick...we are just lucky Pats aren’t in our division.

Boomer just said it on CBS. Steelers are to the Bengals what the Pats are to the Steelers.

Tomlin has won playoff games. Marv never has. Tomlin did more in 2016 alone that Marv has done in his whole career.

Yeah I'm not talking about the matchup. I'm talking a Marvin Lewis in general. Have they even won a playoff game under him? I'm not saying Tomlin is better. Ben has kept Tomlin employed. Why Lewis still has a job is beyond me.

Dalton is off with his throws today as well.

IIRC, the plethora of off-line and wobbly throws from both QBs were all going the opposite direction from where each team had 60+ punts. Could have been a factor.

So yeah, we hold Ben to a high standard. The accuracy and footwork was still a little off, but it's getting better. He finished 32-46 for 369 yards and the game-winning TD, a few of those being drops in the first half. Just another notch in his lengthy fourth quarter comeback belt. He's starting to play better and better just like last season. To go over 75 yards in a little over a minute with your season on the line? That's the stuff legends are made of.

And how about that o-line? Did they say Geno Atkins' name all day? Ben wasn't close to being touched, and once the game settled down they manhandled the Bengals up front and opened up some nice holes for Conner.

Marvin Lewis has never won a playoff game as a HC. And Tomlin is far, far better of a coach than fucking Marvin Lewis, come the fuck on.

Serious question:

Is Bud Dupree actually getting worse at football?

I haven't written Burns off completely, but I'm headed in that direction.

1) he's stupid.
2) he'll bite on every double move he sees. Artie is incapable of not biting on double moves.

I don't know how they'll fix him.

B2B, are you saying that we should wait on Burns or that James is not bad?

The last playoff game Cincinnati won was the AFC Championship Game...

...of the 1988 season.

Edit- sorry, they beat Houston in the 1990 Playoffs.

If they switched places - and QB's - I think both get very similar results. Both are very average coaches.

Great win today!

1:12 left in the 4th behind by 1 point starting from our own 23, game winning drive.

Ben to AB!

Up by 4, pull the plug. Fire Mike Tomlin.

I honestly believe that was a season-saving drive.

Although, could have been called as an illegal pick play [I know NE runs that almost every play]....and then we'd be justifiably skewering Fitchner and Tomlin.

Nevermind you damn well better keep that flag in your pocket when CIN got away with at least 3-4 DPI's.

It was a season saving, season changing drive.

Makes it interesting, at least.

Never mind this is an unprovable what-if, its questionable on its face.
Both coaches have been given pretty solid pieces over the years at QB, WR, RB and on D. We've seen the results.
