Every time over the years he's been buried and accused of losing the team, he rights the ship.

Offense could be scary good when Ben starts playing like the HOFer he is. Defense was decent against BAL, and pretty damn good today. Lot of football left.

Still, next week remains almost a must-win. 0-2-1 in the AFCN and 0-3-1 in the conference would almost mathematically eliminate us with our schedule, barring a miracle.

Yep, agree. Top 5 HC. Thanks, Mike!

Against an anemic Falcon offense and decimated Falcon defense at home... That's one you should win. Color me skeptical.

Mike Hilton makes this team more solid in the secondary. Edmunds looked really good today and seems to be maturing into the other safety role. Fort looks to be an upgrade over Williams in coverage and even in the run game to a point today.

Watt looked great getting after the passer and in the run game while the d-line seemed to settle down after getting gashed early.

TE is still the Achilles heel as we make every starting TE look like the second coming of Tony Gonzalez.

Couple players that stood out to me was McDonald [blew up defender blocking for Conner] and Davis [tracked down the runner Freeman and took him to the ground in an instant] playing with a chip today.

Yep. Davis, with the exception of a couple of mistakes, looked very good as the FS today.

I'll just say after the Steelers beat the 4-1 bengals next week I'll begin considering some Tomlin credit. Big, Huge, Important game next week. Walk outta that stadium with a W and you're on the right track. BTW, stains beat the rats...12-9

The roughing call on Bostic was the worst I have seen all year. Looked like he lost his balance while trying to get up

And the Watt Roughing the Passer and the second Bud Dupree "hands to the face" and the no holding vs AB on a missed out pattern and the DPI called against the Falcons early.

The Watt call was pretty bad....I think Matty Ice flopped a little.
Actually..around the entire league its to a point where just use flags on the QB already.

Watt was mugged last week as well. At least with the sack numbers he should start getting some respect calls from the refs.

I agree on the bad calls. It seems some players are starting to really have an understanding on how to take advantage of the easy, shitty calls. I Believe some O linemen are starting to throw their heads back and hold them there when a defender's hand gets close to the their neck/chin area. The best at getting fake calls in Jarvis Landry, though. Watch him, whenever the Browns need a big play he will run, jump and bounce off of whoever's covering him and the flag's usually thrown. He's rally good at it....unfortunately for us.

Man, this game is unwatchable at times. At least the Pens are playing now.

I give him credit for calling out the awful penalities. Everyone around the league should give him credit for that. The cover of the recent sports illustrated issue sums up the NFL season to this point. First they screw up the whole idea of what a catch should look like, follow that with screwing up what a sack should look like. Downward spiral. The league has messed with the rhythm, the beauty, and the physicality of the game, and routinely negate big plays by rewarding the wrong team.

Looks like he has taken more responsibility for the defense at least. There were a number of times you could see Peezey deferring to him and asking questions about defensive calls.

Best quote of this article. Why this isn't the standard is anyone's guess. If they learned anything yesterday it was to come out determined to establish their dominance and remain consistently dominant throughout the entire game. I think that's fair. That's what I look forward to as a fan.

They have to have a complete game against the bengals to turn me back into a believer. Otherwise this game was largely meaningless.

They could be entering the bye week first in the division. That will get me interested. I got it would met I almost skipped watching this game. I’m glad I didn’t but almost couldn’t bring myself around to it

I just hope they beat CIN. AT 2-3-1, they'd be a real long shot to make the playoffs with the remaining schedule.

Bengals are 4-1. If Steelers manage to win in Cincinnati they would still be a half game back.

Exiting the bye week 1st in the division with a loss to the Steelers next week, than a loss @ KC the following week. 8-)

BTW, CLE and BAL have tough games the next few weeks too.
