He says it was wrong to call roughing the passer on Myles Garrett.

I have to admit...I agree with him. Called a tick tack but I'll take it call when it happened.

I can't stand the fuckboy Riveron but if you want to bring up mistakes you may as well talk about the punt while you are at it and say we fucked up that call as well. They may as well say they should not have called Watt for the hit on Taylor when he spun out of the swarm of bodies in the pocket too.

Watt penalty was a bad call...official should have seen Watt's view of the play was screened and it was very difficult to hear the whistle....there was no way Watt really could have known the play was dead when he made his move to tackle.

I notice that the one replay I can't find anywhere is the punt that hit the player's mask. I'm sure it hit him but was also 100% sure the call that it didn't would not be overturned.

when I saw the replay again last night it still looks like it hit the brown player but I agree it never was getting overturned especially when they said the ball never changed

I may be wrong, but my understanding of the Watt penalty is that it was for contacting the helmet, not being late. that's why he was awarded 4 sacks in the stats. that penalty doesnt erase the sack, getting there after the play would have. I was screaming he was already targeting the qb before the ref put his arm up, and I didn't hear a whistle...thought it was a bullshit flag, but then I could've sworn somebody in the booth explained it was for the helmet contact and not for being late. which makes sense because he got credit for the sack, didn't he?

I honestly didn't think this was as egregious a miscall as it's being made out to be.

It strikes me as run-of-the-mill ticky-tacky rather than Grady Jarrett/Nick Foles-level BS.

My initial reaction upon seeing the replay was that Myles had time to avoid the hit entirely, but even watching again now and seeing that the sequence of events was a little tighter...it still strikes me as essentially a judgement call. There are flimsier calls in most games.

Arians even brought that one up when the other analysts failed to, but they acted as if they didn't even hear him.
