That was kind of my point. I don't think the trade could have happened if he had already failed, nor can I really see how PIT would have knowledge of a pending failure. If that were the case, PIT would just forfeit it's 2019 R3 pick - Roger makes all this shit up as he goes along.

Also, I was thinking about Bell and figuring there might be some justifiable reasons for a missed test seeing as how he's just switched teams and moved. If it's just a missed test, he'll probably get a few games but he's not getting the book thrown at him.

What are you talking about? A missed test is a failed test. There is no lightweight punishment. Bells was lighter because he hadn't repeated like Bryant. He wasnt at the same severity level. Bryant will be facing a year, if not continual suspension pending application for readmission.

And now it's being reported it isn't for a failed or missed test. It might be failing to meet a counselor or clinician or something...

That's what I'm thinking. Which is still incredibly stupid on his part given the stakes.

So this would not get him suspended?

If he didn't adhere to what was spelled out in the terms of his reinstatement from last year he could definitely be suspended again.

He switched teams and, I assume, moved. Shit happens when you move across the country.

Whether he gets suspended and/or how many games is going to depend on how responsible he is for whatever was missed. He could have given new contact info to the NFL and they could have screwed it up when trying to schedule a test for him. It's not a black and white issue.

Now the word is that he didn't fail or miss a drug test. Retweet from Adam Crowley and link:

Fantastic News!
Good job Martavis Bryant. Credit where it's due.

A Raiders source has a lot of explaining to do!
Report: Raiders' Bryant didn't fail or miss drug test

At this point, he has zero excuses. Zero. He has millions of dollars on the line and has been given one last chance after failing multiple drug tests before becoming Justin Blackmon and fading to obscurity.

I doubt Goodell will accept "shit happens" as an excuse for not holding up his end of his reinstatement. I mean, he's been having excuses made for him going to back to Clemson. If he blew off meeting with a therapist/shrink or didn't set up something new with his move to Oakland then that's on him and whatever the NFL decides to do is his own fault.

Everything is conjecture right now. No confirmation of a violation. We're now hearing no failure took place. With as slow as all of this is coming out, it seems best to let the facts come to light.
